It feels really bad playing against holy paladins as a DK on beta. Unless you enjoy having your diseases constantly dispelled and like having to waste globals and time re-applying them. Buff them to the moon even though they’re already really strong just take away the pvp talent that dispells dots constantly.
Keep in mind, hpals are the only healing class in the game that doesn’t feel horrendous against DKs right now, DK needs some counterplay.
Also, DK right now at this very moment has dispel protection against hpals with 1 shot potential just for doing their regular rotation, but no one ever plays it. See the following video for me randomly 1 shotting myself with a flash of light when it dispelled a dread plague:
There is such thing as being too much of a hard counter. There should not be one spec that completely gimps yours that goes for the dps and healer experience. It is also from one pvp talent. Hpal and mistweaver being strong does mean the other healing specs could use some buffs.

You conveniently left out half of my sentence when I said that goes for the dps and healer experience. Meaning all classes and specs. Go make a DK on beta and see how it feels to play and compare your experience vs holy paladins and other healers. BM hunter, WW monk and Sub rogue are the moreso Outlier specs right now anyways over DK.
I guess I’m mostly just disappointed that we lost a bunch of our spells+got reworked (tbf so did everyone else), it turns out the reworked play style was actually pretty fun and engaging, and it lasted a week before blizzard undid all the good changes, while trying to present it to us as them doing us a favour for giving back crusader strike, which is just a dead button 99% of the time.
Blizzard is very out of touch we can all agree on that.
Now imagine spending ALL of your built up soul shards and your 2 and 1 minute CDs and the HPal does the same, and in the name of “dispel protection” it removes a solid 13% of the hpals health bar and silences them.
Whispering Waves has been removed.
R shams losing an end-point talent node as I see no replacement ability in the notes.
Otherwise interesting R sham changes. I enjoyed the previous iteration of the new ascendance going into midnight of 3x buff stack of instant heals, but this works too. Fun juggling those stacks procing DRE.
Shaman f tier ..removed 30% increased healing during ascendance on top of all defensives pruned
Also they are trying to push chain heal builds still
Might as well play Hpriest or MW going into next expansion
I havent even played any during the prepatch after all the prunes and then screwing up the UI..I only used digdebuffs and an addon to make friendly bars an icon…Now cant even use same classic enemy namplates ive used for decades

This isn’t strictly related to the changes, but you’re a highly skilled hpal - where is your healing supposed to come from as lightsmith and are you supposed to be in melee range with the changes to crusader strike and losing rep, I feel like my shocks and wogs don’t do anything and my tput is half that of my priest and I’m getting CCed all the time cuz no counter CC tools while I’m trying to crusader strike.
How exactly it plays out with these new changes, I’m not 100% sure, but in pvp, you generally don’t want to be in melee range unless you have to be. You’re only really pressing crusader strike if wings is up and you have a melee hitting you, and have nothing else to press (ie, you’re basically just pressing it to generate holy power if you have the global - it does negligible healing and damage)
I’m asking myself the same question lol, but presumably instant flash of lights from infusion of light procs and hard casting holy lights instead of judgements every 3 gcds in between holy shock and WoG (admittedly, it was hard to fit in all your infusion of light procs with how often judgement was off cd, but I feel like these changes are overkill). Most of our healing comes from bulwarks, but idk, LS throughput was already lacking, and its definitely going to be worse now. Rotating CDs without overlapping will be very important

Good pre-sacs will win games (ie, before poly, fear, blinds) but ya, it’s tough out there in that department. Sometimes you’re forced into situations where you have to use bubble as a trinket, then play max range on a pillar because you can now die in a swap. The tldr is it’s almost never worth it to go for a crusader strike

I honestly think this is huge.
Blizzard actually listened to the overwhelmingly negative response, and walked it back. I mean they didn’t come out and say “we messed up” but at least they walked back the changes and made the better decision.
Kinda proud ngl.
I still can barely believe its real, hopefully the paladin community isnt the only one blizzard listens to…
I think its cool as a supplementary thing with proper risk:reward, ie, having to go melee to stun, or a little extra healing+damage if you cant cast but a melee is on you, but it very quickly becomes completely degenerate when stuff like FW is meta
