I dueled this ret pally earlier that has only green 710 pvp gear and some PvE blues. Almost beats my Arms warrior. I’m almost full 723/720 PvP gear. Does blizzard actually think ret is fine? This is nuts. Ret players don’t even have to try. It makes me want to say F it, I’ll make a ret pally. But at the same time I refuse to lower myself to that. Tell me balancing changes are coming soon, because this is crazy…

Blizz will never balance around 1v1s, they mainly care about rated group play, warrior has and probably never will be a 1v1 spec, its strength lies in group play because of mortal strike and utility…sure by all means make a ret lol…a lot of fotm rets out there and u can tell instantly because they’re terrible 
if you want to play something good at duels, play Druid, rogue, monk, pally or lock…Warrior isn’t a dueling class

(Arms) Warrior was THE 1v1 spec for most of the game.
The audacity of these Rets of almost winning a Duel. This is an outrage and a slap in the face. Can someone point me to the Ret Regional Manager so I can put a stop to our Warriors almost losing in this elite tier of content?

Bubble into Warding, 20s of untouchable.
Its like if we were able to block 2x in a row and cast and move while in block.
I actually killed a ret at 3 health in spell warding, had to hit him with my staff 3x

I missed nothing of the sort. How dare these Ret’s almost beat a Warrior in a 1v1 player initiated combat system?
I read this young man’s story and it breaks my heart. We can only imagine this shiny figure of a proud warrior heroically escaping certain death by turning the tide of battle against this Failed Priests in Rusty Plate Armor. The memories are so painful that he can only speak in vague references. That sort of trauma lasts a lifetime.
I will do everything in my power to speak to those in charge and let them know that this is unacceptable.

I think warriors do well against DKs 1v1 as DKs are historically weak to physical dmg but outside that there’s maybe like 2 classes a war hard counters in a 1v1, and those classes rely on fear for cc…they pretty much get destroyed by anything with the slightest ability to kite or any type of immunity, they have one good defensive in DbtS that really only stops physical dmg, which almost all classes have some type of magic dmg now…they are the one class (maybe aside from rogue) that literally can’t do anything when disarmed…just a potato standing there with no weapon. A good warrior is definitely tougher to deal with but to win a 1v1 against anything other than a warlock, dk and spriest there needs to be a massive skill diff imo

I recognize a couple of names in this thread. What a sad life trolling the WoW forums.
But, anwyay. The ret player had heroic dungeon blues… and a few pieces of 710 PvP gear. It shouldn’t have even been close. That’s my point. If we were equally geared I would have been deleted. No chance. he got me down to somewhere around 5% I know blizzard doesn’t balance around 1v1 but ret is far outside the realm of being balanced.

Our policy towards our rets very clearly states that it’s not good enough to only almost beat a warrior…the warrior must be thoroughly and completely annihilated to beyond recognition.

That’s another problem they need to address… 
I just returned to WoW since BFA — specifically for PvP — and I’ve noticed a lot of classes now have not only huge damage but also great sustain and survivability.
It used to be one or the other, not both.

Now it’s basically Ret > Paper / Scissors 
There used to be a joke in that game where you choose gun. Ret is gun.
It will probably be even worse next expansion.
