and how exactly do they know when a legitimate player gets banned it isn’t like there is a status that says Banned on the screen is there?
They don’t log on for a long time.
Maybe they got bored of being level 25 for 2 months and made an alt or played a different game.
This is just assuming just like their false reporting was assuming.
Blizzard has been banning like crazy.
I do gdkps every chance I get and received 0 warnings. Obviously I’m not breaking any rules

Yep, people backing out of bids at 10-20 gold on every item is definitely rmt. There’s no way people can farm that much gold on their own.
Yet people still buy gold instead of farming it don’t they?
There’s cheaters in every game, yeah it sucks, doesn’t bother me much though. The thing that bothers me the most are the bots screwing up the farming/questing areas. Yes i know they exist because people buy gold.
There’s also a loophole that makes buying gold legal. Buy token in retail / wotlk then trade the bought gold for SOD gold. Don’t know why anyone would do it though. Some people like paying real money to not play the game for some odd reason.
If your payout from a GDKP includes illicit gold Blizzard will be able to tell.
People who are participating in GDKP and catching account actions are being caught with illicit gold, they are not being actioned just for participating in a GDKP.
Run GDKP with trusted people and you wont have any worries.

i know it is not against the TOS to do this, but imo it should be.
I do what I want in this life and there isn’t a single person that will change that. However there is NOTHING to spend gold on so i’m not sure why you would suspect anyone of buying gold in sod.
Especially since you can roll a mage to 25 in a single day and solo pull half an instance at a time.

You can get banned for trading between servers. Same as trading between factions. But this way safer for sure.
Nothing I’ve read said it results in a ban. Just risky because scammers.
Yea, mostly retail tourists. They don’t play past a month or two, as all the gdkp haters have changed out to new sock puppets and fools, so they’re forced to join pugs and they don’t have gear to get into smash ms/os runs.
As a result they are funneled into a gdkp, as it’s all that remains to them. That or a 3 hour bfd but they think they’re too good for that.
As a result of their lack of playtime they don’t have any gold and feel even small amounts MUST be gold buying becauae they personally have at most 10g.
They also as an average parse just horrible, as again tourists. GDKPs don’t pay out gray parsers, not one I’ve ever hosted at least. This leaves them unable to progress in the gdkp system.
They then, instead of joining a guild in which gdkp has no effect on ever, they come here to seethe. It’s a wonderful cycle. It will stop fully at 60 as most won’t make it that far and the ones that do quickly quit. We will then return to normal until next fresh when they’re back.

Oh and every once in a while a streamer makes an anti gdkp vid and we get rushed with “educated” bodies all repeating word for word what they said. Unfortunate consequences of a huge childless late 20 pop, they love streamers. Goes away in a month usually.
Your specific situation of gold trading (with legit gold obviously) is not something people are banned for to my knowledge. It is considered an unsupported transaction though, so as you say, there is nothing that will be done if you are scammed.
