Holy armaments cooldown increased ?!

There is no mention anywhere that the cooldown on holy armaments has been increased from 45 sec cooldown to 1 min and i just noticed that on PTR we have 1 min CD armaments while on retail we have 45 sec cooldown. WTF IS THIS BLIZZARD ? HIDDEN NERFS ?

It’s 1 min by default. Are you taking the talent Quickened Invocation to reduce the CD by 15 seconds or did you forget? What about the Forewarning talent that also reduces the cooldown by 20%?

Or did you panic and assume Blizzard is GASP HIDDEN NERFS ON THE PTR?!?! Like it’s literally a PTR it’s the opposite of hidden

A reading from the Book of Armaments…

Bro caused me a heart attack.

It’s usually even shorter with the talent that shaves off 3 seconds per infusion of light use. Which next patch you gonna get more son

How do you presume we’re going to get more Cdr, we don’t get any additional free wogs procs and we also got cut on HP generation with a nerf on RoR and sanctified wrath ? Also I did digging and they “fixed a bug” that made quickened invocation reduce the cd without compensating the talent for it. So now it’s literally not worth taking the quickened invocation because the other option is a flat better option by all means. It also is making keeping up weapons and bulwark 100% uptime impossible now on PTR. If you take Cdr hero talent you lose the procs for the uptime and if you take procs your never gonna be lucky enough to keep uptime.

I need a sanity check

It’s part of divine toll

Divine toll has a talent to to reduce it,

Than Lightsmith has its own talent to reduce it further correct?

Which lands me around 30 seconds,

what is it in PTR?

I’m pretty good with dumping infusion procs

No healing need dump into judgment

Healing need dump into flash of light

Armaments are great to pull 3 holy power off the bat

ho your an hpal, nobody plays hpal bro. awful spec, go play prot pala if you wanna lightsmith. play herald if you wanna hpal

This lowIQ poster is back for some reason”??

You said it.

"I am sorry I cannot subscribe, but could you please post this for me in the Paladin forum?

I thought this would have been addressed by now, but unfortunately it hasn’t. I’d like to bring it up now in the hope that it can be improved for the next season.

1.Please Increase Blade of Justice’s AoE Radius

I would like to provide feedback regarding the AoE radius of Blade of Justice for Retribution Paladins.

In Mythic+ and other multi-target situations, Blade of Justice’s current radius creates several gameplay issues.

When targeting a large enemy, the AoE often fails to reach nearby enemies, resulting in significantly lower damage than expected. On the other hand, if I target a smaller enemy to maximize AoE coverage, I may be criticized for not focusing the priority target.

This issue becomes especially noticeable with very large enemies. Because of their large models and hitboxes, Blade of Justice frequently fails to reach surrounding targets even when they appear visually close together.

The effectiveness of the ability is also heavily dependent on how tightly the tank groups enemies. If mobs are spread out even slightly, the ability loses a significant amount of value. As a result, my performance often feels determined more by tank positioning than by my own gameplay decisions.

I do not believe players should be penalized in this way. Poor performance should be the result of my own mistakes, not because an ability’s radius is too limited for modern encounter design.

A simple test can be done using the training dummies in town. When targeting one of the dummies at the end of the row, Blade of Justice often fails to reach some of the dummies on the opposite side. Compared to many other classes’ AoE abilities, this feels unnecessarily restrictive.

Suggested Improvements

  • Increase Blade of Justice’s AoE radius.
  • Ensure that the ability can reliably hit a typical Mythic+ pull.
  • Review interactions with large enemy hitboxes that reduce the practical effectiveness of the ability.

Retribution Paladin gameplay should be determined by player skill and decision-making, not by whether enemy positioning happens to fit within an unusually small AoE radius.

2.Plate Armor Doesn’t Feel Like Plate Anymore

I honestly can’t tell whether I’m wearing cloth armor or plate armor anymore.

Even after investing a fair amount into Versatility, its defensive value for Retribution Paladins still feels poorly tuned compared to other DPS specs.

For example, I was standing inside a Restoration Shaman’s Spirit Link Totem with six other DPS players, yet I was the only one who died.

Please reconsider the survivability design for plate wearers. Plate armor should actually feel like plate armor.

Thank you for your consideration.
