Exactly, they dropped the ball here. Where are our ships? Where is the Lost Ark style sailing and exploration? /sigh
Hey, if I wanted to play fortnite I would download it… I put it in this thread since you deleted the last one.
Maybe my math is wrong but that would be like 7-8 games a day for 4 weeks, assuming we have 4 weeks before the event ends.
It could be that just participating in a match still will raise your level once a day.
Time for a real comment. I’m interested in this because I can hop right into it and play. I enjoy BGs but don’t really get into arena because it’s just way too much to get into. Going against players who have been grinding arena for 20 years and trading/tracking cooldowns just isn’t my jam. I enjoy PvE and World/BG PvP. This seems like a fun event and I’m excited to try it. If I don’t enjoy it, I’ll move on with my life. I love the Warcraft universe and am excited to have something new to try that appeals to players more like myself.
It’s more “I’ve read other books in this genre and they all follow the same basic plot with the same basic twists and characters. I don’t think I like this genre of books”
Just because its a battle royal doesnt mean its fortnite, Naraka Bladepoint is a melee battle royal I was looking at but never tried, and this is your spellcasting version I guess - to me shooters and building is not that fun because its too easy to shoot people
Its not new and different…its the same dang map we PVP on during BfA…two expansions ago or did you forget Arathi Highlands Warfront now…been there done this…all they did was throw us into pirate looking clothes and change loot from Arathi loot too Pirate looking loot…sigh…
You dont even use your WoW character though, it’s literally a different game.
Its not a “patch”. Its a different game. I’m all for PVP’ers getting something; but, it should have been a battleground…in the actual game.
in lost ark?
I “claim” not to like pirates? Do you think I’m so stupid I don’t know what I like? Or are you simply calling me a liar, pretending not to like something for… some reason? Either way, I do not appreciate the insult.
Collecting isn’t exactly a new activity in this game. My absolute personal preference would be for anything collectible to be tied either to exclusively skill-based achievements (as trophies… gladiator mounts, etc), or to be available from multiple game modes. Failing that, I provided my feedback… because honestly, I would like to see fewer collectibles tied to these things at all. Just let them be what they are.
Either way, given your decision to insult me, I’m done here. If that’s how this thread is going to progress at this point, I want no part of it. I did what I came to do. If you want to insult me further, you’re welcome to do so.
I really wonder what is the people really expecting as an event. Would you have prefered another superbloom or the archeology event? It is a completely new game mode that brings the foundations to experiment new ideas in wow without ruining the pve / pvp balance that matters to that many people.
I am part of the group of people that rarely do pvp because I hate the crowd control party that it is. But this game mode brings a completely new way to do pvp as the abilities are only designed for this mode. And as it is apart from the base core gameplay, they can easily tune it and balance it.
Not sure if it will be fun, but at least it is worth trying.
For real though. It’s like they don’t even read the forums sometimes. I’m hella disappointed in this… I’m still gonna try it out though.
However, because its standalone, we will have more people trying it out which means we have to wait less time - thats a big deal to be honest I’m down for this format
Lord…save me…this is not new or did many forget the BfA Arathi Highland warfront events we did there…nothing change other then loot and that…we just did this map two expansions ago…it was fun then but it not going to be fun with the same dang map now.
Seriously. Funny thing is if someone cared enough, trying to pass off testing for another IP as a WoW content patch is potentially lawsuit worthy, considering people have now bankrolled development with subs for an unrelated gaming project.
If I could play this game mode with my character, as an actual PvP mode it’d be another story, but I (we) have now paid for something that isn’t WoW. Plain and simple.
I’m sure it has potential to be fun, but this isn’t WoW related at all.
I think if you’d started with this rather than “lol PvE scrubs big mad” that the conversation would have been different.
As someone who quit Retail but plays SoD, “a different game” is pretty much the one thing that could make the 10.2.6 hype justified.
In the video, they say 4-5 matches a day would roughly = 1 renown level. So with 40 renown levels, you’re probably right about needing 7-8 games a day to do it in 4 weeks.
However, I haven’t seen an end date anywhere so who knows how long it’ll last.
