Definitely had more comments a few minutes ago. Disappointing that Blizz doesn’t want to deal with upset and underwhelmed players, though not surprising.
a reasonable and balanced solution to them releasing content you’re not interested in
I’m all for giving the people who like PvP more PvP to do, but as the primary draw of a patch and something that apparently rewards a lot of collection-type rewards, I’m not sure this was the way to go.
I’m not a fan of PvP and I’ll probably largely ignore this, but as a collector I already feel forced to at least try it out. This game seems to have a history of trying to force people into game modes and activities they don’t like, so I suppose this is nothing new.
I’m sorry it’s more difficult than just beating up on bots in PVE.
The main problem with this is it’s entirely unrelated to live WoW. The only tie in is the engine and rewards transferring over.
You cannot use your character, it does not tie into the main game or lore, it’s essentially an entirely separate entity. It should by no means be labeled as content for WoW.
Watched the video, and now I’m pretty excited again. This looks like it could be really fun.
Please please please, I’m begging you, don’t botch this launch!
If their event flops, at least WoW will be trending with all the commentary about it.
I am all for new stuff but a patch to be basically primarily PvP oriented and season 4 doesn’t even start for 3 weeks maybe 4 it seems sort of (insert naughty word here)
Time for another wow twitter battle royale
And hopefully they’ll change course on more super secret mobile quality mini-games.
Can we use our own characters or are we forced to use generic templates?
(I’m reposting my prior thoughts from the old thread hoping someone will take it into consideration.)
To my understanding, you do not use your own character but a premade one, and you “don’t need knowledge of spells” so this isn’t even pvp in a traditional WoW sense. What concerns me is actual WoW pvp is on life support, yet all of this effort and resources went into this limited time event… I feel sorry for WoW pvpers.
I cannot help but feel this sort of time and effort could of been better placed into something more sustainable for retail. And if this is a test of some sort, transparency would of been greatly appreciated.
Next up will be WoW: Fall Guys then the highly popular WoW: Among Us. Eventually we’ll get Five Nights on WoW.
havent we already done pvp in arthis before, for me when they said 60 peeps on one map,i was like hmm that spells major lag and lag isnt fun at all.pvp pees will love this and rest of prob hate it,ill give it a chance but dont see how it will be fun will lag incoming

Blizzard, your deleting threads, and comments in order to save face on this. the community is upset, you’ve stirred up the proverbial hornets nest with this “surprise” fortnite knock off. don’t be trying to run damage control now, your player base is upset and they hold a grudge. you should know this by now.
I feel like an allied race/quest chain and/or new race/class combos would have made this event received in a more positive light.
Couple a few easy wins in tandem with the experiment, yeah?
I’m confused. The Blizzard link here indicates pets and mounts for all.
But then there’s a Blue thread from Blizzard on Wowhead that makes it sound like the pets and mount are only available to Classic users…
I’m more excited it’s something new (to WoW, battle royals aren’t new) then some boring new race or stupid world event like the hearthstone event or super bloom or rifts that are all as boring as sin.
I don’t really care about the rewards, just hoping the matches are fun.
No pirates.
