Hello, everyone. Concerning Hobbits is a fun and friendly AOTC guild that has been around since TBC. The guild has gone through many changes over the past 20 years. We were even a mythic guild from WoD to SL, then gave that up and focused on being a smaller 15-20 player AOTC guild. For Season 3 and beyond we’ve decided to grow to a 30-man roster, then continue to recruit specifically for Mythic+. We have quite a few people interested in pushing keys to 3k and higher.
Our goal is to create a active community so that even when the raiding is done players can log in and run some keys without having to pug.
The guild atmosphere is pretty chill. We’re not interested in blasting through Heroic as quickly as possible and then disappearing until next season. We genuinely enjoy raiding, so we take our time, joke around during trash and tease each other when we wipe to silly mistakes. There’s no rage/drama here. We have experienced leadership that has done every form of raid content there is since 2004 including Mythic Archimonde, Jaina, Sarkareth and Fyrakk.
Raider expectations are very simple: Do mechanics, upgrade your gear every week, run some keys, and have good attendance. Heroic isn’t terribly challenging so I don’t judge players performance too much. I’m more interested in players that are friendly and have fun with us! For the launch of Manaforge Omega(Aug 12th), I am asking all raiders to be a minimum of ilvl 665 for Normal. This is easily achievable the first week of 11.2 if you are returning or rerolling. Of course, if you need help we can work on that together.
After getting AOTC we raid for as long as people are interested, typically until all our alts are geared to the teeth. We’ll clear the raid on Tuesdays and do other activities on Thursday, like forming M+ groups and the “Glory of the X Raider” achievements. We also do Legacy runs for achievements and collectibles. Occasionally we’ll even play free party games such as Skribbl . io or Cards Against Humanity.
We may take down 1-3 early mythic bosses if enough people are interested, as long as progress is being made. We have zero interest in wiping to the same thing for hours on end. Been there, done that.
