But, my butt is flat and I need that padding for the thiccness.
I too, loathe hip pads. I don’t understand why they are there, what purpose they serve, or why there are even so many of them.
There was a really pretty dress from BFA I think. It was lavender and silvery white and I forget the name. But! It had two versions, one had hip pads and the other didn’t. I appreciated that they did that whether it was intentional or not.
At the risk of sounding like a turbo nerd, they are immersion breaking for me. All I can think about is my characters hands constantly colliding with them or how awkward it would be to try and acutally move/function with these things on my hips in daily life.
Removing the hip pads would add some versatility to many of the pieces as far as fashion goes as well. Somebody else mentioned the love witch skirts which is a great example. There are so many tops that I could combine with those skirts, but the hip padding makes it a very unfun sort of challenging.
I would love to see all the wonderful combinations that people would be able to think of if they no longer had things to worry about like hip pads or armor type restrictions.
I crack up, because my hubby… doesn’t play much now, wanted the most plain and unassuming armor for his hunters. NO frills!
