Look for specific items. I know it hurts when you get an ilvl upgrade, but I don’t put anything on unless it’s 15 ilvls higher or the stats are there

Doesn’t work for rings though
Like for eg: i have a 355 ring with haste/mastery with a socket and it beats the 395
ring from the service medal winner in terms of value.
Good for bag ilvl though

I am trying to build my haste up as well, and it’s all in the rings and trinks. Target them and it will get you there quicker. Learn from me, I live by the welfare drops.
I use an addon to tell me when I get an upgrade. You can set it to default for your spec or adjust it to your own preference. I still dont use items with a ilvl upgrade if it means not an overal upgrade to my dps or survivability.

In order to make primary stats (Strength, Agility, and Intellect) matter more, they just nerfed the power of secondary stats, heh.
I believe the loss of secondary stats from the azerite pieces, specifically from the helm, shoulders and chest did much more.
I am not sure if the necklace compensates on that, doesn’t look like it.

New 120s gear fast in terms of ilvel, but it takes time to get decent gear. In the meantime, we run around with inflated ilvel. I look for rings as soon as I can and use them as “reforge”.

True. It’s a combination of both, to be honest. We have 3 pieces without secondary stats (and a neck with inflated, but not that inflated secondary stats), but they also nerfed the effect of secondary stats as well.

Why do you need haste? Are you trying to speed things up and not enjoy all they worked so hard to make for us??? /sarcasm
this does feel bad. What was done to haste…was just bad.
The hit or miss, more miss for many it seems, of sockets on drops also didn’t help. Less chance of gem add ons.
I’ve kept lower ilevel stuff around longer until I had not choice to lose the haste. 340 to 370(hell a 385 once in a blue moon) I can’t turn down usually.
Why I wish we could time warp this game to months before 9.0 drop. Azerite will die most likely then we can get back secondary’s where lost and they will be work again with the rebalance if done like legion. I truly believe this is what will fix many issues some have with this expac really.

Care to help? Did I miss something or did they change versatility to haste as primary. I find I do more dps with high versatility this time around. What am I doing wrong?
I know how to solve this issue but Blizz don’t make that game anymore,you see we used to have Gems/enchants and stats in every gear slot so we could actually TUNE our toons,create and RPG.
This is a direct result of scaling and it is going to get worse the whole game is feels bad man .
It makes it hard to enjoy all the good things when basic RPG systems have been gutted and replaced with what they hand you to play.
I mean pretty soon blizz will just log on and play for you,all you got to do is pay the sub.

You are in a sweet spot for scaling,it is going to get bad then kinda good again,progression is gone and you won’t feel it (at max) on a shamen till about itl 365 (but the mobs will hit harder so it won’t matter much) granted this is still the first tier but as i said scaling will negate all the gearing you do,so ask yourself,W T F are you gearing 4.

Find some haste gear, bro. Seems simple.
For having haste you need haste in your gear… duh… i am 376 and i have 22% haste.
Haste smooths out a lot of classes rotations

If we only had reforging back in the game. I suppose that would cut out some of the time-played metric each month though.

lol no, it wouldn’t. We still had bis gear to target in Cata and MoP. Reforging was primarily there to make Hit/Expertise less burdensome.
RNG liked you. Others RNG does not like so much.
