High elves on the alliance

(Hello, Lore here)
Whether they use the normal tones or not, they are still Void Elves.
They are also still High Elves.
Point is: The playable Alliance High Elves will always be infused with Void.
That doesn’t make them any less High Elf though.

I think making them a customization of Void Elves isn’t really a great idea. I’d prefer Helves as an AR that basically just did what Nightborne did for the Nelves—take the Belf rig, change it’s posture, and give it new aesthetics. This way, Alliance players who like Helves for their Belf rigs could play Void Elves and Alliance players who liked Helves for their identity and aesthetics could play the new AR with an altered rig. This way Horde players couldn’t really complain (at least as much) about the Alliance just getting straight-up Blood Elves.

I don’t mind it.

No reason in particular why Blood Elves shouldn’t have them and we see high elves going to the Telogrus Rift. Also I see no reason why high elves wouldn’t be going home to Quel’thalas if they want to. So players are able to play what they want.

Lore doesn’t really say anything about it right now.

I’d love for them to add a little npc thing to the Telogrus Rift showing the wayfarers and scholars learning from Locus-Walker and Duskwalker. Then show further along students going through a ritual to turn into proper void elves, the result of which being Umbrician void elves (Blueberries), Allerian void elves and a mix of the two. That way everything is canon and we don’t have to have anymore debates. lol

Way I figure it whatever your name plate says or your racials do your characters story is your characters story. Whether its entirely canon or not.

Though I am back to being on Horde, I like the current customizations so far. And if I say, “Void Elves are High Elves,” I’ll get my head bitten off and into an argument with people who think you should be rolling Horde to play this.

But the thing is, just because we got High Elven customizations doesn’t mean Void Elves weren’t High Elves before we received more customizations at the start of Shadowlands. They have always been High Elves ever since there introduction for the Pre-Order bonus in patch 7.3.5. Nothing changed.

They can be blue, they can be pink, they can be purple, they can be what ever colour. They are still High Elves, regardless. The way I am looking it is, yes, it is “High Elven customizations”, but technically, they were just more customizations.

Wouldn’t have done anything to stop bad faith people arguing that their race got stolen. Either way, the groups would have clashed.

That’s because Orcs are cool, Elves are lame.

I wish they’d do this for all the races and classes, honestly.

We almost made it a month.

And the point of this thread is ?

You and your anti High Elf discord friends have been whining about helfers and their incessant spam for years and when we almost spend a month without anyone opening a new thread, you come here and post this completely out of the blue, when helfers FINALLY accepted the compromise and moved on?

Suspicious isn’t it?

I think it’s a great compromise.

Now please expand their lore, I’m fascinated.

Search>“High Elves” would’ve gotten you all the thoughts you needed.

Moritz is a filthy helfer bro. we love him in the disc, but he’s not exactly on the payroll.

As far as compromises go… I don’t think anyone is really 100% happy, but I’d argue most people interested are, ‘content.’

Most High Elf fans I know didn’t want a copy/paste of the Blood Elf model. Heck, plenty would have been content with Half-Elves if Blizzard would’ve updated the majority of High Elves on the Alliance to new Half-Elf models (basically, any non-named High Elf NPC).

What we have now is a copy/paste of the Blood Elf model, which eventually got a copy/paste of Blood Elf skin tones, and then a copy/paste of Blood Elf hair colors.

I’m not a fan of the hairstyles, or of Entropic Embrace’s visual being forced. A toggle for Entropic Embrace would be great, so that those who want it get to enjoy it, and those who don’t won’t have to deal with it. The only people angry with the idea of Entropic Embrace being an option seem to be those who don’t want the Alliance to have anything closer to playable non-Void Elf High Elves.

At this point, I’d say just copy/paste hairstyles used by High Elf NPCs and call it a day there as far as copy/pasting goes. Let the actual resources be used to develop new void customizations for Void Elves.

Alternatively, just merge Blood Elves and Void Elves as one race and make them Pandaren/Dracthyr neutral. At least that way Blood Elves can have access to all the customization options Void Elves have.

Well, why don’t you start taking control of the toxicity within that discord server then instead of having the toxic behaviour like you have had on there existing.

I’ll put it this way, you do know Discord has the right to shut down your server or ban the accounts if anything is breached from the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

https://discord.com/guidelines

Stuff such as hate speech, wishing someone for serious injury or suicide, organizing harassment, etc… Since your the owner of the discord server, if someone gets caught, you’ll also being held accountable. And the devs of Discord doesn’t need an invite to join your server, or let alone, see any hidden channels. It is also the same for us on Legacy of the Quel’dorei.

It’s a good thing we haven’t done anything to warrant such action then.

Have yourself a lovely day.

Love it.
All of my actual in game friends are happy about it too because they got what they wanted (we all did, thanks Blizz), and mostly just ask for a couple gothy but still more natural looking hair styles, and I got to be able to make this monstrosity for our next leveling night.

Screenshots of such pass actions would disagree. Thanks for the false flagging by the way Guzzle, I knew my post didn’t breach the Code of Conduct.

No. Lore breaking. Void Elves are not High Elves. Most VWs look more like Smurfs than they do actual elves. High Elves belong with the Alliance. Be cool if Blizzard could give us the option to move over there. Blood Elves in the Alliance.

Well, I assume I have a public apology to look forward to when Discord finds that we haven’t broken any rules, given the fact you’ve felt the need to make this public for some reason.
