So therefore people who want playable HElves as representative of the various HElf groups who’ve been with the Alliance since Vanilla will continue to argue for their inclusion
If it was just about appearance, this wouldn’t have gone on as long as it has.
Either way, you were dismissing it as a strawman thing, when it was still used as a real argument by Blizzard as to why they chose what they chose. It is not a straw man argument.
Nope, still can’t. People want those who are representative of the various HElf groups who’ve been with the Alliance since Vanilla. Those on the Horde are specifically not those ones, as shown during Vanilla, Wrath, Cata, MoP and Legion.
We need more races with relevance and pre-existing background in the game
Yet when running out of those, we have reverted to copying and pasting them. How many people really would like that? We’re getting eye colors, dwarves are getting tattoos for wildhammer, trolls are getting amani skins, these are better ways to add customization to existing races.
When someone quotes an argument that was really used as a real reason and someone else brings that up, calling it a strawman argument is not accurate. That argument may not have been used by you, but it was still part of the overall debate.
well then it seems we are at an impasse since the very same elves are indeed playable just not on your prefered faction is unfortunate, but there are reasons I can’t play say, a Vulpera or a Goblin on alliance.
“If you want to be a fair skinned, light haired, blue eyed elf…sorry, the horde is there waiting for you”
The request I have said, several times, which you have refused to acknowledge, is “Play the group representative of the group who has sided with the Alliance ever since Vanilla”
Both you and Ion seem to have missed the point and what people are asking for.
That would be like giving night elves nightborne customizations, though.
(I am aware of the separate 10k years of evolution, but this is the closest cross-faction silhouette example I had on hand)
The opportunity passed when we first got added to the Horde. Were we Alliance, I would agree, actually I probably wouldn’t have to since it would be sufficient.
and again, my specific post had nothing to do with that point, I never said that quote. trying to dismiss my post using a argument I never brought up is straw-manning, I called it out as such.
Not really, but how would that hurt anyone if Nightborn were given that? Again, they are pixels. Not real life. Leave people alone. Let them ask for what they want. I get sick of some players being militant and acting like some poeple wanting something in a stupid game is going to kill them or something.
