HIGH ELVES in Shadowland moving forward

Just burn down a high elf effigy every time a new thread is born. Then aroma will be soothing to the general forums.

Or, this one is shocking. But they could just give the alliance High elves. And not be immature just to spite their own player base? Literally lose nothing by doing that.

I would say something about faction identity, but that will be completely ignored.

I don’t understand. Players got their wish and will be able to play High Elves.

Or, they could not and lose literally nothing as well.

there is no spite here, just a clarification to lore that’s been consistent since TBC.
Blood elves are Warcraft’s playable high elves

That’s far too reasonable.

Personally I’d be all for giving it over to both sides, since there’s more than enough of a cultural difference to have blue-eyed elves killing each other.

I’d rather the majority of us be united, the alternative is depressing.

Whether under Alliance or Horde, is it not the best thing for us?

But then Wrath happened. And MoP. And Legion. And then along came the race who strengthens every pro-HElf argument by its very existence, Void Elves.

Players have not gotten their wish of being able to play High Elves on the faction who has been allied with High Elves for the past 15 years. Instead they get to be them on the faction that’s been at war with the High Elves since Vanilla and has involved several quests of “Kill the High Elves” and “Oppose the High Elves”.

Doesn’t that seem a bit… Odd to you?

Don’t see how that changes anything. if anything Void elves further solidifies that the traditional high elf look and aesthetic is already available, on team red.

been like that since 2005.

You do realize that the High Elves left the Alliance in Warcraft III right? The then renamed themselves Blood Elves right?

A group of Elves you can count on one hand does not make a faction.

Another solution is to give Void elves the customization option. I think that as long as people can get their Tolken fantasy fix, that is all they need to be happy.

Also, how the heck does it hurt you if people get an aesthetic they want? It’s a freaking video game.

Personally, I want half elves, and to see Half ogres running around. No hybrids is weird and kinda dumb, but until this High Elf thing is solved, I don’t see that happening.

The argument of “There are too few HElves around” is utterly demolished by VElves and their origin story. Any arguments about needing backstory and not just being able to pull new groups out of nowhere, also destroyed.

Void Elves kicked the door wide open for High Elves to be playable simply due to how their origin was done.

No, Silvermoon left the Alliance prior to WC3. Other groups who left the Alliance include Kul Tiras. You may remember seeing the Kul Tiran Expeditionary Force in Durotar attacking Horde settlements and being friendly to Alliance players back during Vanilla

Please highlight where I said “The faction of Silvermoon will be joining the Alliance” as opposed to “The already pre-existing Alliance-allied splinter groups should be an allied race”

Apparently makes an Allied Race though! But thank you for agreeing that Void Elves do not have enough justification to be an allied race.

It’s easy to claim things that are in direct conflict with something you have not had attachment to.

You are still taking a video game way too seriously.

I’m sure that’s a very compelling argument for something you want to add to that videogame.

Conveniently.

Ignore lore much?

I am probably never going to see hybrids added to the game, and I can live without them. It would just be nice is all. You are completely nerd raging and being toxic over a fantasy world that you can just as easily use head-cannon to fix any lore issues you have.

Kinda how I choose to ignore the rampant and unrealistic levels of xenophobia that would cause no playable hybrids. I also choose to ignore the lore existence of lightforged undead, and Midichlorians. rather than foam at the mouth over it all. sigh

Nice strawman here, I never said anything about numbers, just that these new customization options are remaining consistent with what we already know about High/Blood elves of Quel’Thalas.

again, the high elf look and theme from back in WC2-3 times is now properly represented ingame which makes sense with blood elves getting all there diffrent eye colors back.
no “There are too few HElves around” in that

Oh my goodness please tell me how and where I lost composure anywhere and started insulting people, or worse, framing attitudes for them. cough.

This can be said back at yourself, am I wrong?

Isn’t this contradictory to your previous statement of:
