Tinker fan doesn’t have any way to fill their fantasy aside of a useless profession that dont do much. High elf fan just had to play the other faction like for any other race except panda, earthen and dragon.
Never said vanilla. I was talking about the concept of faction lock race that exist since ever. Blood elf were annouce in october 2005, 20 years ago now.
None of it make the blood/high elf less horde. Those two are the same and are already playable. If anything, they should really unite and high elf should just join their people in the horde.
True High Elves will never join the horde! Never!
They were tentatively allied in Warcraft 2, not 3 and left afterwards. Most of them parted with King Anasterian. Kael went back for help in Warcraft 3 but by that time a large portion of the Kingdom of Lordaeron had been wiped out and all that was left was Garithos and his men. Who end up sentencing Kael and his magisters to death.
True High Elves left and went back to Silvermoon. A small rag tag group either stayed with the Alliance or were exiled to them. Some exiled to other places.
The majority of them already have.
Dear Blizzard.
Please come out and say that High Elves are never coming to WoW as a playable race. Because after Void Elves and Blood Elves that would be incredibly stupid.
Thanks

eh the horde 100% expected the blood elves to lift themselves by their bootstraps in TBC, really the only reason they’re even in the factions is because the idea of not tying a new race to the factions in some way (even the neutrals are) is anathema to the people at the top who want the game to live and die for a pvp system.
You are a high elf silly ![]()
…you do understand blood elves are high elves, right?
Like, you’ve read up on the lore and understand that what you’re asking for is IN the game, right?
The rallying cry of the Alliance for over a decade was to do things to improve the faction population split, for PVE.
So I dont see it really as a PVP specific reason. But PVE as well.
Removing the faction system from PVE entirely would fix every faction imbalance issue forever. The only reason the faction system exists as is is because someone late in the beta implemented it (up until really late city reps were discrete) and its entire raison d’etre is because they wanted to focus hard on pvp - ironic given it’s a niche minigame at best.
I mean. The only issue now is what?
You cant go into other cities?
Give me cross faction queues and a way to heal cross faction party members in the overworld, for one.
Also tying housing to factions (housing styles look like they’re currently faction locked) is going to have some silly side effects considering Duskwood is more fitting for at least one of the horde races than Azshara and vice versa.
I’m hoping they rethink the silliness.
not sure how those are population imbalance issues
Since they said that elf were going to reunite, it would be a good time to just make the few high elf still alive to rejoin their people and be a official part of the horde.
Making your “fix” for the population issues as annoying as possible to use outside of strictly endgame content feels passive aggressive at best.
Then they arent high elves. They are blood elves.
But the fix was not to address the problems you outlined.
They did drop that though. It was the initial selling point at Blizzcon but they said it wouldn’t be happening in this expac. I think during Gamescom.
Funny cause the only people complaining about that are high elf fan. As a forsaken fan, i will just use my alliance character to built a nice creepy human house in that graveyard for my forsaken.
Stop trying to make it a everyone issue when its really is one just for you.
