High Elves & Amani Troll for 12.2.5 Midnight Patch

I’m heavily anticipating playable High Elves and Amani Trolls for the 12.2.5 patch that closes up Midnight.

This is very likely to be the final time we visit Quel’thalas and Zul’aman, and High Elves & Amani Trolls have been two of the most popular requested races since the launch of WoW.

This is the last chance that the playerbase will have to play these two races, and if we don’t get them I genuinely will be floored.

Why do you anticipate something that won’t happen?

High Elves are already playable. Blood Elves are High Elves.

Anyone who disagrees is factually wrong.

You’d need more evidence than the voices in your head, mate…

Because I can say the exact same thing about Ethereals. K’aresh is probably the final time in the near future we visit Ethereal lore. It was the perfect opportunity to release them as a playable race, either at the last TWW patch, or as the Midnight race. And players have been asking for Ethereals probably as long as High Elves or Amani Trolls.

Amani models aren’t designed for player characters so that’s a nope on them.

High elves eh, I don’t think it’s completely off the table but more than likely they’ll just continue to represent them through belf and velf customizations rather than adding a third virtually identical elf race. At least earthen were visually distinct from other dwarves.

You already have them. Void Elves and Blood elves are High Elves.

Why put off for 14mos what you can do today?!

Aren’t Amani models just Orcs reskinned and with different heads?

Run! The mob is lighting their torches and sharpening their pitchforks!

Why do we need blood elf model a third time lmao

WoW is like 90% elf races atp. We’ll be fine without more.

I don’t think we get playable Amani. In the files they cannot wear player gear like other eventual playable races have been. And they are giving out green skin tone to Darkspear troll players to have the Forest Troll look.

As far as High Elves, they have them on both sides. They gave their looks to both sides in SL.

Amani yes, but we already have high Elves. Twice even.

Gimme Broken, or Night Elf Worgen.

Silver covenant elves are high elves, but they aren’t part of the horde nor are they void elves

Honestly I’m mixed on this

On one hand, yes we have a lot of elf races already. But on the other, void elves were added purely out of spite towards people who wanted high elves and people have been asking for them since vanilla

I would rather we got drakonids, ethereals or sethrak first but I wouldn’t mind revisiting high elves later on once more non-elf races are added to the game

Yes, they are also High Elves. Void Elves are also High Elves.

High, Blood, and Void Elves are all High Elves. They are just different factions or align themselves with different powers. But physically and culturally, they are still considered High Elves.

Let them.

The mob is wrong.

If we get more Elves, at least tell them to bring better cookies, no offense Warlocks.
