The mmo champion thread is pretty lit up with ppl excited for it and shutting down anyone who points out that it was just about looks.
Iâm so happy!!! For both sides! Canât please everyone, but I am so friggin happy.
I agree a lot is hype. But I think itâll translate to more elaboration on lore, and wanting HE classes.
But I donât fault anyone for not liking this I just am not someone who falls into that category. I wasnât crazy about blue eyed BEs idc personally, I want undead BE stuff, and I like my golden eyes. But I feel like this gives to both sides, and neither feels they can use their request to invalidate the other side.
So Iâm happy, and many are but many will also want elaborated lore once the hype falls off.
HAHAHAAH YESSSSSSSSS. WE KNEW IT.
This is amazing, I really hope they provide an option for the void elf tentacles to be converted to braids. <3
Well, this was an interesting start to the day. I didnât think Blizzard would go down this particular path as it seems to step on the toes of the already established Blood Elf race pretty hard. But, till we get a full view of the final product to be delivered, I think itâs best to hold off on being happy or sad with the announcement.
Still gonna be my regular self and not respect people trying to RP as quelâdorei, high elves or half elves. Youâre not a high elf, youâre still a void elf no amount of text next to your TRP race will change that. You are touched by the void.
Folk like you make RP servers sad.
Does the âYour watch has now ended.â Quote apply here?
Now I have to find something else that is entertaining when I donât have anything else to do. Shame, these threads got pretty entertaining to listen to sometimes. Maybe there will be another giant race thread that opens up that I can share my totally objective opinion with.
Part of the reason I wouldnât play on one tbh. But if we get HE lore added to VEs that solves the problem also.
My vote goes to the Sanâlayn megathread cause Iâm biased. Or maybe even the sethârak peoples place.
I must admit, I am searching avidly for all the people that were so rude about this, and kept saying it would âNEVERâ happen.
I canât find them anywhere⊠I wonder why?
Well Iâve said before I think High Elves are an objectively bad race and would take a race slot and should never happen but I donât think I have to worry about a race slot being taken away now so Iâm happy for yâall. It is curious though, Iâd think most the people who didnât want High Elves would be more vocal around this time.
Iâm legally obligated to say:
Sethrak sethrak ssssethrak!
If folk really want to campaign this hard for or against Sethrak Iâd welcome the inevitable notice blizzard would have to give us Sethrak fans.
Wouldnât sethârak be a horde race though since they had more involvement with them D:?
Hopefully celebrating their blue eyes.
Also I love your name is it intended as a GOT reference? If not I love it regardless.
I will take either side, but personally want them for Alliance. Blizz would need to add some story to make any sense. But weâve a few ideas in the Sethrak discussion thread.
Kinda wish the guy in charge of it was still kicking around so we could get those ideas on the main page but⊠What are ya gonna do?
I personally donât care. In shadowlands I can have my void elf ON THE ALLIANCE which has the high/blood elf model have proper skin color with blue eyes and non-voidy hair options.
Iâm satisfied. Its close enough.
That is the hope, isnât it? I want everyone to be happy.
I really liked the naming conventions of the Targaryens!
I was hesitant to use it because of the source, wanting to be original, but I really love the way it sounds, and ultimately nothing is totally original anymore is it?
I actually googled their family tree and realized there are like four different Viserys in their lineage and that almost all of their names share the same contractions.
So I put two of their names together, Aerys and Viserys.
Seems like the only thing that could have been done to give both sides something they wanted. I wouldâve been a little salty if Horde Blood Elves got blue eyes and Alliance got nothing to get their Quelâdorei fantasy in.
Even if itâs not a dedicated Allied Race, you can still get away with being a High Elf. Just like the Wildhammer tattoos on what is technically a Bronzebeard dwarf starting in Dun Morogh, itâs enough of a concession that it matters.
