To be honest, this debacle will never end anytime soon, now we’ll see:

1. Antis littering the forums with ‘i quit’ treads or demanding this not to make it to release

2. Pros asking for Blood Elf hair colors as well

I think as pros we should be asking for classes to open up that would make sense for HEs.

And some lore to encompass actual SC HEs etc being made apart of the VE population so they aren’t just former BEs.

That’s just my stance though, I know we’re all taking this in right now.

Now that the whole debacle seems to be over and the argument seems to be ruined by blizzard I’m happy for y’all. As for classes…I’d love to see druids added. Maybe Paladin. But druid just feels more enticing.

I originally opposed Paladin because I felt it could be too much potential Sunwell story telling.

But if we get lore to add HEs to VEs officially. Then we could have validation to ask for classes that make sense to HEs, some argue VEs should have Paladin anyways.

So people could get their HE Paladin, still be a VE but a former HE that never sided with the Horde. And without a shadow of a doubt VEs aren’t connected to the Sunwell, so they won’t overlap storytelling.

So I’m very happy with this anyways. And for potential classes I’m excited. I agree Druid is cool, I don’t have a Druid believe it or not perhaps I should wait to make one!

About the lore bit, all they need to do is update some NPC lines in Telogrus. We already have non horde High Elves and Blood Elves there trying the news. So basically it would be the case: they become void elves… but since it’s their own decision, the corruption doesn’t go as far as the 1st batch of elves that were turned against their will.

But not going to lie. Although I’m a pro, ever since the Velves got introduced I always wanted actually the opposite… more corrupted skin.

Druid is a bit far fetched, but it could work if we got more info on how the emerald nightmare works. Seeing a void elf druid be able to use druidism via things like that would be cool. But I doubt blizz will do it. But one can hope.

With the high elf skins, feeling like a high elf will be much better than every before now. I am glad they gave those skins to the void elves.

I’m not.

Void Elves are not High Elves. They’re former Blood Elves.

Happy for them to have their own story going forward.

But my request stands unfulfilled.

Edit: also this could just be those wayfarer high elves learning to be void elves? It’s not what you wanted but there’s options at least. It’s more than we had.

Yea. If only blizzard was actually willing to put the full effort in. Like imagine an eredar skin without being able to be warlock? Or gilgoblins without water breathing. Makes no sense.

Yea I feel like there is a split of you guys who are ok with it and who are not ok with it. If I wanted High Elves I personally wouldn’t be happy about this. Just another Ion “compromise”. However I dislike blood elves, high elves and void elves very much so whatever makes most of you happy I guess

It’s hype, wait for it to wear off, I assume that many who wanted High Elves may have been very excited for void elves when they were announced due to hype. We’ll see, you could be right, you could be wrong.

On one fel swoop I got blue eyes for belf and a facsimile of high elf. I can live with it.

I always want more AR’s as my default though.
