Outside of the Magisters/Mages and anybody who used drain mana on a demon to get a quick fix the Blood Elves mostly unk knowingly drained fel. The fel tainted arcane Crystal’s that came through murder row weren’t really known as fel Crystal’s, thecreatures in the starting zone that are fel corrupted aren’t knowingly corrupted to the player, even though it seems the person who gave you those quests knows about it.
You would think the glowing green eyes would be a big hint, but theoretically the Blood Elves are not admitting all of the fel contamination they are suffering from…
It’s pretty painfully obvious. But as a race I think they are being willfully ignorant about it. Once again, except for the Magisters. They know magic and are not telling you the whole truth in the old starter zone.
Your opinion isn’t supported by BE fans, Horde fans or the Blizzard devs who make the game. What do you want me to counter? Your take on Blood Elves is an opinion that is both not factual on the things you’re stating about them and biased awful takes on your wishful thinking scenarios. Period. I didn’t know you were waiting for a counter? To what? Lol
"Hi Blizzard, thanks for letting us make ourselves look like Blood Elves, would it be cool if we got the rest of their stuff too, plus all of the unique Void options that we already have? We realize that we are asking you to completely stiff a popular core race on the opposite faction, but I read that in WC2 the High Elves were part of the Alliance so we should really get more options than the real High Elves on the Horde have.
If you do not give us everything we want, we will continue to relentlessly complain.
What? That is a red herring, but the point of High Elves is what Blizzard decides the point of High Elves is, not you. The amount of dislikes on a video doesn’t dictate the premise of something. Do you even know the story behind Blood Elves? Why on earth would they be a part of the Alliance after everything that happened? Void Elves being on the Alliance doesn’t even make sense because of this, but Blizzard wanted to give them High Elf models. Learn your lore.
(Observation): There is some flip-flopping on this, but I think it’s correct to state the average Blood Elf, in Quel’Thalas, was unaware of their exposure to fel magic, and did not actively tap into fel magic to sustain their hunger.
(Speculative): If anything, arcane magic was commonly drained from magical creatures in Quel’Thalas, like Mana Wyrms. Fel magic seems to have been reserved for performing magic, such as we saw with the Magisters using it as a source to power their rituals to rebuild and restore much of Silvermoon City.
(Commentary): I’d say this would be supported by the dialogue of NPCs on the Isle of Thunder.
Void Elves were the stupidest thing ever put in the game, and were nothing more than an attempt to appease the constant demands of people who wanted a Horde race on the Alliance. That is the only reason they would create a playable race based off of a single NPC. Void Elves did not exist until they were playable.
You’re absolutely right, Void Elves should of never been a thing and High Elves with extensive model work that separates them from blood elves, should of been what was added, not actual carbon copies of blood elves glued to a niche theme.
