High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

Oh good, the attack of the memes. This will be amusing.

I approve very much!

They where not working as part of the Kirin Tor in legion.

They are not neutral. They are an Alliance organization. It says in their in game description and Vereesa is counted as an Alliance Leader and Lore Character.

Not this “Silver Covenant is neutral” again.

Go visit Windrunner Outlook on your Horde character and tell me how neutral they were.

Can I get a source on that

so go back to 11 year old content, and see if the NPC’s like the horde then?
And even if not… and?
They are bound by obligation to be neutral.
To make them not is to ignore lore and change it for your reasons.

There in game description.

And Veressa is often part of Alliance events in Books and in Game and even was there when you got your PvP skin in Legion.

She was there when we sieged Org and was part of the Alliance group sieging the Nighthold.

They literally attacked and killed the Horde to kick them out of Dalaran.

Headcanon. There is nothing in game or in lore stating this.

You don’t need a sub to post on the forums

I dunno, I’ve read tides of war.
Made it clear to me what the kirin tor were about and what they do and do not.

Silver Covenant is Alliance. Dalaran is neutral but heavily Alliance leaning. Just like goblins in Ratchet are neutral but heavily horde leaning

That’s a separate faction in Dalaran.

Silver Covenant is strictly Alliance and originally formed to oppose the Horde/Blood Elves coming to Dalaran.

You don’t do that if you are neutral.

they have their side but it is also clear if they were to ever act on it they would have to leave the kirin tor and most likely by extension dalaran for it.

that is a misinterpretation of what happened and you can find the video here

if the developers had, off the cuff, mentioned that light skinned void elves were a possibility it would be newsworthy and this thread would be bouncing off the walls posting it as much as i do about ions quotes

instead alex was asked specifically by the lost codex interviewer about whether those skin tones are possible on void elves and received the answer, yes, it is possible. note he also nods in agreement with the interviewer void elves fill the high elf niche for alliance before he answers

had the lost codex interviewer asked whether san’layn were a possible allied race, the dev would likely have answered in a similar way because any hypothetical is of course possible

this thread has argued that a difference of political opinion is enough to base an allied race on. it isnt

other examples of misinterpretations

a CM extends a thread, its happening

a high elf npc is added, its happening

we have a petition, its happening

well its not happening and the game director gave almost the response I have wanted someone in his position to do on this topic for years

blood elves are our high elves. and part of the horde

So, are you ignoring Legion, when Vereesa was one of the Alliance commanders in the room in the PvP Artifact appearance quest?

Or that she was the Alliance character that escorted you to the Exodar by boat in Stormwind?

Or that the Silver Covenant is representing the Alliance outside Zul’aman?

Or that the Silver Covenant members outside of Suramar are Alliance-friendly but yellow to Horde just like the night elves?

No i admitted they had bias.

Some Horde players hate High Elves so they just want them to die off, while others say they don’t deserve an Allied Race spot because they are not “exclusive” enough to their standards but have a weird obsession for them so they make strange claims like “The Silver Covenant is Neutral” and nonsensical suggestions like Alleria and the High Elves joining the Blood Elves, thinly veiled suggestions trying to line High Elves closer to the Blood Elves and the Horde when in reality they are deeply rooted and integrated in the Alliance. They are one of the most loyal Alliance races and groups, to the point they prefer to remain in the faction rather than joining the rest of their people.

If the Alliance isn’t going to get High Elves as an Allied Race, the Horde isn’t going to get the High Elves and their visual traits any day soon.

I disagree with pretty much all of the strawman arguments you just made…
But I also wont argue for such things as blue eyes for blood elves

Yes, so much bias they are hostile to the Horde.

yes and to act on it would get them kicked out of the kirin tor

Not saying you did but

This is not the only example.

And people saying the Silver Covenant is Neutral is quite normal. They aren’t by the way.
