High Elf Allied Race Megathread (Continuation)

Blizz should just give up and give Alliance high elves. Its never going away unless they simply give it to us.

Well, they could kill off all High Elves or turned them all into Void Elves, too.

It’d just be terrible writing then.

They would lose my sub.

Which is worse though?
To be told no, or to be kept on an eternal maybe?

Technically they said no last year, but they said no to flying and we ended up with this halfway business of pathfinder.

I dont consider void elves to be halfway tho. Just slap some blue eyes on a belf and give it to us.

If they absolutely have no intention of making High Elves playable, I’d rather they kick them out of the Alliance or put them out of their misery than continue to use them in place of actually playable races.

That was one of a few reasons,

  1. " The humans led the Exodus from Lordaeron, abandoning the blood elves to the Scourge. "

  2. “The night elves are remembered as the elves who banished them from their homes so very long ago, and those grudges still run deep.”

  3. “The troll tribes often have items or information of use to the blood elves, and they hate the night elves with almost the same passion.”

  4. “Many blood elves have insinuated their way back into the world and seek out places rich in magical power — such as Ashenvale Forest. Some blood elves, steeped so thick in pain and anger, have joined the Shadow Council in Felwood.”

  5. " The Alliance view them (Blood Elves) as dangerous (and mad, in some cases). The arcane spellcasters in the Alliance agree that the blood elves have gone too far in their quest for power — even the high elves are sickened and frightened by their former allies’ loss of compassion and self-control. The blood elves have little use for the Alliance, and the downfall of this faction is next on their list after they have purged the Scourge from Lordaeron."

  6. And another reason is that some humans hate Blood Elves and wanted to kill them all i.e. Grand Marshal Othmar Garithos

  7. Another reason: is that Blood Elves betrayed Jaina Proudmoore and Alliance in Pruning of Dalaran by secretly spying for Horde side, which made Jaina mad and hostile toward Blood Elves after.

  8. Lady Sylvanas Wildrunned who is Forsaken is ex Quel’dorei and she is leader not only of Forsaken but also leader of Whole Horde in Legion

  9. And another reasons is that High-Elves are Alliance allies and they are hostile to Blood Elves, if Alliance would accapted Blood Elves in their ranks that would be betrayel of High-Elves.

Just a little you left out why the Sin’dorei are with the Horde and not with the Alliance. Also a little reminder, the Quel’dorei never turned against the Alliance.

Void Elves still make me laugh a bit. Blizzard could not have come up with a better way to undermine all of their old arguments against HElves. Such a strange un-asked-for allied race right out of left field.

That said, even VE’s could have solved all of the current problems… the return of Alleria was such an easy opening. All Blizz had to do was have some BE’s say “Hey, let’s follow the Windrunner sister who isn’t an insane undead monstrosity, and who has found an alternate energy source that will sustain us without the Horde’s Sunwell.” Make VE’s blue-eyed blood elves that slip into the current art assets in combat (like worgen) (or heck, just blue eyed blood elves), and pretty much everyone would have been happy. Instead, Blizz made a demonstrably tiny rogue group of volunteer void-addicts get exiled from the Horde for being nincompoops, and then immediately and opportunistically pledge themselves to the Alliance.

I’m still puzzled how the current iteration of Ren’dorei got green lit… would love to have been a fly on the wall in that meeting.

I don’t like this idea, I would like High elves (Queldorei) with half elves customizacion.

If you want a half elf then thats not a high elf :joy:

While I’m with you, I think the best use of Blizzard development time (that doesn’t involve ret-conning VEs entirely) is to just give VEs a few skin and eye color customization options (and non-tentacle hair styles imported from BEs). Tattoos would be a plus, but they would be the first thing on the chopping block if development time were limited.

I would like to see them reunite with the blood elves TBH.
Have Vareesa and Alleria come back into the fold.
Kill Sylvanas.

Kill all humans.

I think I can see the exact moment… in the middle of your post… when you became a death knight.

Originally I rolled a Worgen DK. I would still be playing it if my wife had not gone horde.
Nothing is a bigger turn off than when your lover rolls a forsaken whose jaw is missing. Funny enough, I like my Paladin more. Bubble recall is too good a troll.

I’ve always thought WoW needs an auto text editor (like when your character is drunk) that changes the things jawless forsaken say to resemble: “Uuyhuhyaaghyaa gaaha yaa”

Aw sugar plumps. started laughing in the middle of nursing class and everyone stared.

Yeah. I’d unsub in those circumstances too.

Mine too. If they do high elves like that, I’m gone.

It’s not that “they chose the Horde over the Alliance”, it’s that they chose a side at all. They would probably prefer to be on their own, without having to rely on lesser races with no sense of fashion.

Well, a large chunk of the SC hates Blood Elves with a passion and there is some unspoken bad blood between Vereesa and Lor’Themar

And Vereesa and Alleria both married human men and have half-human kids

Im thinking the 3rd faction Idea actually, The unseen path group looks a little elf heavy. The Kaldorei are getting impatient with the Alliance. Still waiting to see how the Silver Covenant reacts to the Ren’dorei joining the Alliance to. Allot of politics going right now hehe
