I don’t know. Of the two movies, one was made to be “enchanting”, and the other is Elf. Not that Elf doesn’t have some speck of amusement, but they’re two very different movies.
Besides, it’s obvious the Elves are the real heroes of Santa Claus: The Movie:
1.) They save a couple from freezing to death and give them a home.
2.) They give the couple eternal life, and in exchange all they have to do is deliver gifts so the Elves don’t run out of room with all their constant toy-making.
3.) In order to teach the reindeer the legendary “Super Duper Looper”, Patch takes it upon himself to venture out into the cynical world of 1980s corporate America, where he risks his own life so that 6 reindeer can fly in a vertically positioned circle and catch him and his cohort in the most extravagant way possible as they fall from a car full of exploding candy canes.
Now that is the work of a true hero.

Loddoss War was the closest thing to seeing a very different female cute, kindly and sexy elf in WoW seen in Warcraft 2 and 3, especially we see the fanservices magical girls sexy elfs sorceresses that Blizzard never gave us in WoW especially in TBC and WotLK.
So elfs worship trees, chew herbs of the night, they will never be true elfs of fantasies.
They just suck like cow
