Hi Blizzard, The AoE Cap in Shadowlands is a Huge step in the WRONG direction

I don’t like giant pulls. I don’t think it’s fun.

I have to wait two minutes each time to get some crazy high numbers on big pulls, while most melee and BM hunters pull it out of their a** every group of mobs.

So I don’t agree. I am tired of seeing my logs do great damage to real priority targets while I’m 3rd dps in a mythic+ because a warrior or DH hit the group of 15 maggots for a mill+.

They do all that with about 1% of the same effort btw.

I LOVE giant pulls as prot paladin and trying to “pull” it off. Lining get up my cds and group CDs. Granted this is usually only 3 maybe 4 packs. Not like a “pull everything on the beach” TD

I knew there had to be a catch after reading all of the pretty good proposed class changes!

Hype went from pretty hyped to not hyped. If this makes it in I will not be subbing.

It seems they probably will have this in mind.

Same. That’s why my favorite thing in retail now is single target. I want more cleaves and I hate the “gather and aoe down”.

I get why people like it, but I’m so happy Blizzard is taking steps away from WoW looking and playing like Path of Exile.

Just look up end game clips of Path of Exile. I enjoyed solo leveling in Path of Exile until I got to the point where I needed to build resistances and started grouping. We were pulling so many mobs it was insane and not fun.

I loved the slower pace and lower lvl combat experience. It was a different type of gameplay where I had to play with pulls like mechanics and keep myself alive. Now it’s “just make sure you don’t run out of mana and you gucci”. Boss fights are the only thing interesting in POE end game to me.

My feedback is have it uncap on lower level instances if they plan to do that for this expansion. It will seriously make chain pulling less fun and more bothersome in older content especially when the npcs have some hard cc if not bursted down.

I get the concern there as well. It’ll make grinding old content slower in that regard. Especially since the Classic Vanilla raids will be lvl 50 in SL. Yep you heard right. Molten Core is a lvl 50 raid in SL. It’ll still be easy to solo maybe but since we’re in the X.0 of the expac it’ll be hard for alts to do without any gearing.

For current content we need this. It’s honestly a drag to see the large pulls and I know people like that but others don’t and are tired of every group doing this.

My preference is for smaller, and more difficult packs, and opportunities for cleaves. IDK if that will even happen in SL but fingers crossed.

At lvl 50 or 51 those they will become lower leveld to scale back power. So 60 content will be around lvl 20 stuff.

That’s what it would be yes, but there was a Dungeon info leak about what will be in SL. It was on WoWhead and Icy Veins.

They showed the level scaled dungeons, and what they would be. I think MOP was around 30-ish.

The weirdest thing was that all the Classic Dungeons were put at lvl 50. Seriously and that’s why it was so shocking. Is it because they wanted the content to be slightly relevant? Like the Xmog from it to be harder to get for casuals?

Perhaps they didn’t scale it well. We have plenty of time for that stuff to get ironed out. Much like how we oppose an aoe cap on many abilities. It will just make spamming the aoe button more of a thing in old content since it won’t kill all the adds you chain pull. And it will also feel weird in bgs where you have to aoe down oppenents much like wintergrasp where it is essential to get the right targets down.

Then walk or take more direct action.

Only they can step out of their bubble or we either collectively or individually go out of our way to burst it.

Might want to bump it up to hard.

Do you know where you are, my furry little friend? For many forum goers Blizzard existing is their condition, and complaining is the prescription.

Fixed it for you

If people didn’t spoke up I won’t even know about this, if I don’t know about this I wouldn’t be asking for more info about this, if I’m not asking about it they might not talk about it at all until maybe alpha or beta when we discovered about it ourselves and everything is too late then, it’s already in game.

This is a good point actually. Old content will become tedious with this change.

As always, fun detected, fun removed. How about just uncapping fury and the few other specs that are capped right now?

It does let the top players gain an enormous advantage though. Looks like they want to lessen the gap from casual to elite. But hey, elite players will adapt, that’s how it always works out.

And yes, goodbye to Unholy DK doing 1 million dps lol.

I understand why they want to do it, but it won’t stop people from mass pulling anyway.

There are legacy fights like Spine of Deathwing, Spoils of Pandaria, The path to Flame Leviathan that will become more of a headache with this change.
