I’m not wrong, tho ![]()
he arrived!
You were like 40 minutes early, but here he is.
Well, you are.
I understand that for some, it’s hard to get the Elves correct.
In this case we have three Elves in discuession.
Quel’dorei - High Elf
Sin’dorei - Blood Elf
Ren’dorei - Void Elf
The more you know.
They are all technically high elves, already. Especially with the customizations. And like I said… you can just customize them to look like quel’dorei. And RP that you’re a high elf.
I don’t know why this is so hard to understand.
Sometimes I swear people see the words RP on a server and then suddenly forget what it means…
those two are the same.
In all seriousness, adding high elves would be a dev’s dream come true. They’d just need to create a new racial. Otherwise, copy/paste the blood elf and void elf models and customisations. No real work needed because we’ve seen it with void elves and dracthyr males.
What is the crime in letting players play high elves? They exist on the Alliance in lore and in the cities. With opening up locks to all/more races, just let high elves happen. It doesn’t affect anyone but the people who’ve been wanting to play them this whole time.
No, they aren’t.
For example.
I am Ren’dorei. Don’t confuse me with Quel’dorei or Sin’dorei.
That is wrong and offensive.
I’m also way hotter than any Sin’dorei, far more powerful, and apparently have a tentacle fetish for some reason.
The point is there’s no need, we already have customizations for two elves of the same model. You can make your character look like a quel’dorei and use your imagination without Daddy Blizzard telling you “hey, this is a high elf, okay?”
But if you want high elves so badly for whatever arbitrary reason, you can just make a void elf without the void customizations and call yourself a high elf.
This just sounds like you lack an imagination.
I don’t see the merit in arguing against further customization. More things are good. Be it sharing hairstyles across both races, racial effect customization, etc etc
Customization is never done, there can always be more.
“What you want beards for blood elves?? Sorry bucko, just -imagine- having one!”
More customization options are always good, for all races.
I just think making another elf with the exact same customizations is wholly unnecessary.
Again, this “need” doesn’t affect you or anyone else who doesn’t want to play high elves. It just affects those who want to play high elves, who exist in the lore, including major lore characters.
I think most reasonable people have accepted high elves as their own distinct race on the menu is never happening, and at this point doesn’t need to happen (allied races look to be a fairly defunct concept now) but theres still plenty that can be done to further express the fantasy via void elves. Same goes for wildhammer dwarves under ironforge, forest trolls under darkspear, felborne under nightborne etc etc
Further customimaztion should give unique things and not keep stealing from Belves.
But this isn’t the argument. You have two of the exact same elf model to play. One for Alliance and one for Horde. Both offer customization options that make your character look like generic high elves.
Again, you’re explaining why the need doesn’t affect anyone but people who want to play high elves, but I’m saying that people who want to play high elves technically have the option to, already. Twice.
I want scars for all races and beards for trolls.
Also a lot of other stuff, such as dwarf eyebrow color matched to hair color instead of skin color so I don’t have bright red eyebrows on my dwarf with black hair.
Please and thank you.
Oh yeah I forgot when they added natural hair colors all my belfs lost their hair.
This stance is goofy, we’ve been happily sharing hairstyles since forever, half the new cata styles were just swaps from various races, a bunch of blood elf hairstyles are just modified vanilla race ones. Nobody gets things “stolen”.
And I want void elf hairstyles on my belfs, they’d be perfect for dark ranger characters on yknow, the faction they actually fit.
That’s true, the high elf argument is just as ridiculous as people saying “we need Wildhammer dwarves as an allied race.”
Customization is there. Just make one.
void elves are the defacto high elves they broke away from the racist blood elves under the queen alleria and joined the alliance
