I can see why people like Lio and Sen are upset now. Even though in my mind, it was easy to see a bug, I can indeed see why it feels like a bait n switch.
But I doubt any recompense will happen.

As many have said in this thread, people complaining and wanting a refund have likely spent more time in this thread asking for a refund than they would have spent simply playing to earn more bronze than they spent on the mounts.
Having a ground-only mount doesn’t actively harm your account, it just isn’t what you thought it was because of a bug that got fixed. Blizzard has almost never offered recompense for something this immensely small before, and they aren’t gonna start now.

Posts like this are insanely funny to me because the main points made are always so far from what people are actually asking for.
you ask for a refund on a mount because it was hotfixed to no longer fly. but the real thing is that many people actually want them to fly. you don’t want a refund. nobody will ever want a refund on a mount. those are collection numbers people drool over. Just say make it fly again.
Bronze is not hard to get. you get enough bronze to get a mount running 2 heroic raids. these raids take 20 minutes or less to fully clear on multiple difficulties.
Just say what you want without disguising it as something else. to say you cant buy more is a amazing joke. your not some icon for not spending bronze, a currency that was made to be insanely accessable and easy to obtain to buy cheap rewards. 99% will just buy things and be done with it.
we need to fight for them to fly again with proper animations. not complain about getting 5 minutes of bronze back.

The posts read to me like they want the promised flying restored, or a refund… not that one is a cover or lie to get the other.
Correct, we won’t be refunded…we should have them reverted back to flying.
It’s a choice for Blizzard. Uphold what they originally said they would do or refund bronze to those who don’t want them because they are ground mounts.

I too am tired of getting ground mounts. They feel utterly useless outside of BGs now.

Oh gosh, that reminds me…
I left WoW for SIX YEARS, right before the end of Shadowlands, and returned in June 2025. Guess what? 90% of my toons I left in the air. And since I did not keep up with the news then, I had no idea just what Dragonflight changed (Along with the whole lower levels/ilevel and being weak prey), as I missed that expansion.
So most of my alts keep falling out of the sky due to the skyriding mechanic I had no idea existed and weren’t on my bar, I was dismounted too. Thing is, this wasn’t all in main cities, some of my toons were literally in hostile places, so they would fall and lose 95% of their health, and admittedly be killed by any nearby mobs due to the fact their ilevel was so low.
Yeah, that was er. A not so fun return to my alts lol. Didn’t think that would happen, took a few years break before that, and my alts were fine, but Skyriding didn’t just kill most of my toons by dismounting me haha.
If it was something more than 10k bronze a pop for a whopping 40k, I would understand. But its exactly that. No irl money was spent. It wasn’t live like this for very long.
40k bronze is like 100g in retail, if that much. Its 40k bronze and you have +4. Remix is going for another almost 3 months. I get being upset that it was unintentionally released as flying, but this is quite literally a non issue. Especially if the main complaint is bronze spent.
Question.
Would those upset like to have flight animations for both static and skyriding, or would yall be OK with the swimming animation?

What’s funny is Ive made 1.5mil easy from leveling 5 toons this week and the max level one is 70 
40k bronze is worth nothing, anywhere. Can’t even spend it on consumables, so everyone is gonna end up with a whole bunch of it wasted and disappearing at the end.
Hell, I just discovered that they added minor bronze caches to the raid vendor, so you can get all the xavius horns out of your bags and that’s even more useless bronze.

Yup. Tbh the rates are absolutely insane compared to the stuff you can buy.
We are going to have a disgusting amount of bronze leftover.
Why couldn’t they have just made the flying animation like the Ironbound Wraithcharger instead of grounding them? Probably because Midnight from Return to Kara has always been grounded
They’re still good mounts to have tho for the price but I am disappointed they don’t fly
