Having a temporary object on for a quest isn’t the same as a permanent transmog. You just give her reply more validity because she is agreeing with you and backing you up. You need to learn that an opinion doesn’t have to be what you believe to be relevant.

Honestly your reason for not wanting them and hostility towards someone suggesting it is not really giving me any reason to why it’s a bad idea.

also, i don’t take sides, i am on the side of reason and logic, if you scroll up, you’d see i was nice and understanding of someone who disliked the idea of a backpack but was nice enough to either list it was how they felt about it, or that they understood some people would like it.

i am not seeing logic in you hating something that other people will wear and you won’t.
you never gave me a real reason besides your feelings, you never said how it was not relevant.

My feelings are all the reason I need. This isn’t a court hearing, it’s a discussion. The fact that I just plain don’t like your idea and vote against it is all I need to say. I don’t owe you anything more.

Also, all I hear from you is you want them because they use them in the military. WOW isn’t a traditional military game.

Backpacks would be neat. I like neat, make it so! Although it might cost us a raid tier…

Disliking backpacks is fine. Telling people they don’t belong in the game because they’re not relevant is a false statement. Big difference.

kay, than i won’t keep responding too them then if you refuse to give a logical reason besides your opinion of how they are not Relevant to a fantasy mmo.

my reasons for a backpack are simple.
1: i think they look neat on certain people.
2: where i am from people like to role play and backpacks are kinda common and not everyone can use a hearthstone in rp.
3: i think they are better than keeping a cloak on at all times, less moving about and you don’t need to make them flop around as if they are attached to you.
4: Fantasy or irl, troops, adventurers, and even heroes like we play as, use bags, the only reason they dont show them, is because it’s less things to work on.
i am just asking for a idea of a maybe a backpack that is for appearance, not all heroes wear capes. some can wear bags for what is needed.

Kinda think this will never happen. Too many characters wear weapons across their backs, and character models are rigid so a backpack wouldn’t look good.

Relevance isn’t an opinion. It’s either relevant to the game or it isn’t. And in this case, seeing as how we carry rockets, quivers, weapons, bags and demons on our backs already… it is very much a part of the game already.

You can dislike a backpack all you want. That’s fine. No one is forcing you to use the appearance. Being vehemently against someone else’s interest to the point of wanting to block it completely as an option is very different.

Or are you one of those people who thinks they should decide what clothes other people should wear?

The OP requested backpacks on a forum where people will agree or disagree. I disagree. Stop attacking my character.

Orcs can have skulls like the filthy savages they are
Night elves can have the skelps of their foes.
Pandaren could have samurai flags… Yes I know they’re Chinese not Japanese but it’s a neat look
Tauren need their totems
Trolls need their voodoo poopoo
Gnomes can have a bunch of cool steampunk stuff
Undead can have a apothecary crap
Goblins need… To get out of my trash! Go on git!

This isn’t hard coming up with ideas aside from back packs

I’m not being hostile at all. I even told you that it’s okay to dislike backpacks. That’s very much telling you it’s okay to disagree.

But you’ve been vehemently trying to block the idea completely from ever being thought of and I asked a question to see if I could determine where this type of behavior originated from in order to better understand you-- it was never an attack against you. I don’t even know you to do such things. Thus, why I asked the question and didn’t make a statement. There was no malice intended.

You’re the one getting pretty upset here, not me…

And I’m simply trying to figure out how something you don’t need to use affects you so much that you can’t even stand the thought of it in the game.

I’ve seen posts where people have said, “I don’t like it and wouldn’t use it, but if you do, fine.” And things like that.

Trying to completely block a cosmetic option you don’t ever need to use just perplexes me when it doesn’t affect you. So I’m trying to figure out why you loathe the idea of a relevant cosmetic option for others.

Not to mention this is a game with various gnomish and goblin tech out the wazoo such as airships,siege tanks,motorcycles and giant robots. It would be pretty silly to think that an adventurer carrying a leather satchel would seem too far fetched,especially if that person were someone akin to a travelling alchemist,except mayhap they had one of those trenchcoats with inner pockets which I would settle for a trench coat even if it would probably make me look like a flasher. “Y’all wanna see my wares?” >:3 “…WHAT,THEY’RE JUST POTIONS AND POCKET WATCHES I SWEAR,DON’T MACE ME!!!”

clears throat In all seriousness though, it’s fine for someone not to like bags in place of capes for transmog however,to object it strictly on dislike alone does seem rather silly. If one doesn’t wish to have a bag,they can opt out and not use said cosmetic items/transmogs. :stuck_out_tongue: Not narking on the poster opposing bags,just conveying that I disagree and why I disagree.

Edit: Also,I need to carry my explosives and hair gel in something dammit!!! Never leave home without my hair gel >.>
