Hero/mythic track gear track extended - retroactive?

Blizzard, please clarify if the change to heroic and mythic track gear that extends the upgrade tracks by 2 is retroactive or not.

If it’s not retroactive it would essentially require re-gearing up entirely mid-late season. I will literally take a hiatus for the rest of the season before doing that.

Hopefully it is retroactive.

Might make getting 3K IO fun.

lmao.

Hopefully, but this is Blizzard we are talking about here.

They’d have to double the current loot table database if they made them drop as new versions. Considering how much they complain about item database bloat any time they are confronted about Reforging, I’m going to say that it’s almost guaranteed to be retroactive.

After the dinar fiasco, this s.h.i.t is just getting better and better.
They want that hamster wheel keeps on turning.

It’s time to speak with your wallets. Let it rot.

does that make the crafted items bad? interesting.

*nvm they get boosted too i guess.

Clarity in communication is not what Blizz is known for. We also don’t know what the item to upgrade crafter gear will cost. Basically, we are told to “Just wait and find out” so that people don’t start mass cancelling subs now.

Did I miss something?

The ilvl increase is just for crafted gear, no?

Recipes crafted with a Spark of Fortune can now be further recrafted or crafted with an Augmentation Matrix, empowering the item up to 6 item levels.

EDIT: Oh nevermind. It’s in the header paragraph instead of the features list, for some reason.

It was retroactive when they change myth to 4/4 in DF S2

Read the part at the top of the post

“During this event, Hero and Myth upgrade tracks will extend 2 upgrades (from 6 to 8), the cap for Crests is lifted, and Valorstones become Warbound for the remainder of the season. Mythic+ drop rates for Warband until Equipped gear are also being doubled.”

Yeah, already corrected.

I just saw that, YOU ARE TOO FAST

Which is the way it should’ve been from the beginning. Didn’t make sense that hero was only half an upgrade track above champ

You mean we only needed to farm out the crests for it instead of the new item? I played but I don’t remember this change at all.

When the whole crest system was introduced in DF S2 there was no myth track…it was a fixed ilvl. Halfway through that season they made a new track (myth) with 4/4 upgrades. That change was retroactively applied to all mythic gear on patch day

Edit cause I didn’t really answer your question. Yes, you just needed to farm up crests to upgrade existing gear

We have to recraft for 6 ilvls… :dracthyr_shrug:

That’s not too bad. Looking forward to extra power. >;D

671 for Hero track is huge.

Not really as they will remove the old versions too.

If they remove the old versions, they would remove the gear you are actively wearing if they had the release with replacing gear as the plan.
