It is possible to create a version of the 25-player raids in “Heroic” mode designed for 12 players, with difficulty falling between “Normal 25 men” and “Mythic Plus.”
The 25-player raids sound fantastic and are enjoyable, but they take too long to fill the slots for the 5 “Healers” and the 2 “Tanks.” Unfortunately, it takes an average of 40 to 50 minutes, making it almost impossible to play during “non-peak” hours.
The team composition I propose is:
1 Tank
2 Healers
9 DPS
The difficulty level should be more challenging than Normal but not quite at the Mythic level—something “Heroic” with tank swapping (If people prefer two tanks), tank busters, DPS checks, healing checks, adds phase, avoid stuff on the floor, etc. Intuitive mechanics would enhance the experience.
This would significantly expedite finding groups, and it would use the same area, with the same bosses and the same loot with a bit higher ILV than normal raids.
The classic forums are that way

This has absolutely nothing to do with Classic; your comment is entirely out of place.
Starting with the normal 25-player raids, they are extremely easy, not only in terms of simplicity but also in the 40 to 50 minutes of waiting time. This does not fit with the essence of WoW-Retail or FFXIV, where duty finders, LFG, and guilds are provided for players to quickly access content without lifting a finger.
The difficulty of Mythic Plus is only completed by less than 5% of the player base, similar to FFXIV.
The difficulty I am proposing is much harder than any Classic WoTLK raid.
Having 12 players with 1 tank, 2 healers, and 9 DPS is designed for you to start playing in 5 minutes without having to wait AFK for 50 minutes in Stormwind.
You know that raids flex in retail, right?
You can already run heroic with 12.

Yeah. I was sort of confused why the OP was suggesting something that was already in game.
Yes. Having solo tanks would make tanking very boring because it would really limit the mechanics that they could add to the fight. For example, couldn’t have tank swamp mechanics, only very limited add mechanics, and almost no movement mechanics.

Which is why I figured he was talking about classic.

"If you’re referring to ‘Premade Groups,’ that’s not what I’m suggesting with my proposal.
What I’m looking for is:
Blizzard to add a ‘Random Raid Finder’ button in the raid tab, which provides a blue and gold bag upon completing the 12-person event, featuring the composition of 1 tank, 2 healers, and 9 DPS. Additionally, there should be no weekly limits on how many items you can obtain. Prioritizing the speed at which you access the content over anything else
Here’s an example:
Let’s say a Normal Raid item is ILV375; the version I propose is ILV400, and the Mythic version is ILV425.
I have no desire whatsoever to create or join premade groups. We’re playing WoW-Retail, where player comfort and quick access to content are everything."
No, Heroic and Normal raids are already flex from 10-30 players. You idea adds absolutely nothing. Go form a 12 player heroic with 2 tanks, 3 heals, and 7 dps.
This is you sign to stop doing drugs.

Heroic raids are flex not 25-man? What fresh helvetica is this?

As someone who does there best not to bother with raiding outside of LFR ( I have too many damn alts and I always gear my main more than others. But I like grinding older content with current and barely get any free time doing all of that to even go back to old raids until my alt army is suffice enough.
If this sort of thing came into effect or someting around that number I can see it more as a positive than a negative but as stated I am not a Raider or Myth+ I cant really spam content in an instance all day it would have driven me to quit same for PvP. Hopefully for you and others with this dream blizzard maybe might add Flexible raiding back (Qoute me if it never left idk) which worked quite well back in Mists of Pandaria and would function the same here.

Of course, dude.
If right now, in NOV 2023, upon reaching level 70, FLEX Raid isn’t available to play the Dragonflight raids, it’s not worth mentioning. Oh, in 2006, there was a certain feature, but they removed it, so why bring it up? Silly, it’s facepalm-worthy.
My idea is much more detailed than simply scaling the same 25-person content to ‘X number’; that’s lazy and would be boring.
The raids in FFXIV, extreme primals, normal, and ultimate, are designed for 8 people precisely to find players quickly, not because Yoshi-P has a fetish for that number. Even with this team composition, it can take 20-25 minutes for 2 tanks… that’s why I only want one…
My idea is for you to be playing 12-person raids with decent and enjoyable difficulty in less than 5 minutes.
Right now, I’ve been waiting for the RAID to be ready for 1 hour and 30 minutes…
this sounds like a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist
I still have no clue what the actual issue is?
