Duel outside captial cities if you want honorable duels, I always help horde in pvp when I see them fighting, even if I dont pick fights.
Thats not what I said, I spelled out all your current options, so either you take stock of what you can do right now, or you just keep making forums post in the hopes the devs decide to do something unprecedented.
Don’t hold your breath for the devs to convince the horde to go ally in mass in classic.
You might not like the options currently available to you, but thats all you have.
I will do my thing no matter what, everything else will just slow me down a bit. But I have thick skin, have played much more griefing type games and used to much worse. I am talking about the common person here, not myself. Although I would never hold it to someone for leaving after all the crap I have seen and put up with. I also would find it hard to recommend this server to a friend because I know what I would hear from them in return… The server is no fun when its doesn’t have a population and its not going to get better if ally keep leaving. Maybe for you…maybe you want a semi PvE server or lopsided PvP battles. Who knows?
Having seen how horde played prior to p2 compared to now on Herod, I seriously doubt this song and dance will be as prevalent tomorrow.
Granted, it’ll still be pretty rough trying to farm popular spots, but it won’t be the zombie apocalypse scenario we have now.
The gank squads are farming honor, they will farm in bgs unless queue times give them enough time in between bgs to farm honor in the world waiting for pops.
Honor gear is crazy strong if you can get it fast enough compared to everyone else, they get an early advantage and they can leverage it until they decide to take a break.
You will still prob fight over good open world farming spots.
Fighting over farming spots is fun.
Landing and dying to 5+ gimps camping a FP is not.
I guess someone should tell Horde that corpse camping wont get them gear fast?
The people going for gear know how to get it in the most efficient way, as long as farming bgs at the battlemaster is more efficient than leaving the capital, most players will stop with the wpvp groups unless they just want to do it for a lark.
Imagine thinking there’s an equivalency. Only a Horde player of Orc/Undead race could have the brain that puts together the equivalency.
I just hope all the people went inactive come back for BG’s.
Also that the toxicity level goes down.
Human mage, real original, least you wont have to race change for pvp come wrath, amirite?
Sorry you picked the minority faction, im sorry in vanilla you were the majority faction and that didnt happen again, im sorry my guild didnt roll the faction of “humans of various sizes” to help you out.
Eh, I wouldn’t count on that.
This entire situation will repeat itself in phase 5 with Silithus entirely on lockdown, and phase 6 with scourge invasions on lockdown. Except instead of it being for honor, it’ll be to cut down mob competition.
Deflecting
You chose the weaker faction knowing that horde racials are better for 90% of the games life.
An minute of googling would let you know what faction is stronger.
Almost every pserver is horde dominant, and has been for a very long time, you can pretend you didnt know people would roll the characters who are the strongest, sorry blizz didnt buff ally racials for classic.
If you have an idea for what blizz should do it would be nice to hear.
Yeah 100% Horde Servers would be awesome, nice point.
Friend wanted to be paladin, otherwise I’d be an orc shaman. So I played the same thing I played when I first played Vanilla.
Also pretty sick of farming and camping wpvp zones in groups, glad that the small contribution that myself and probably 400 other alliance made across the server was so impactful enough for you to actually think there is wpvp equivalency and balance.
Your friend can be a belfadin come TBC, which many paladins will.
Sorry blizz never forced me and my guild to roll alliance, outside of forcing players against their will into a 50/50 split whats your galaxy brain idea for fixing the faction imbalance?
Probably…especially since he was ret in both expacs.
That time already passed. The FIRST time they offered transfers shoulda been faction xfers. Instead they caused irreversible damage in the first transfer wave.
They could have also launched with enough servers and kept server pop caps at the vanilla level, which would lower your odds of fighting the other faction, even on imbal servers.
The long term issue of faction balance would be an issue, but vanilla could have been relatively well balanced had they launched with more than 8 servers with 20k queues on them.
Here’s what people don’t realize about cross realm BGs… it allows them to match premades better, match healers better. If you want only server queues, enjoy the premades non-stop if you solo queue.
Very true, TBH. Opening realms slowly and expecting people to start over was a huge mistake.
