Hero talents, what could they look like in Midnight?: Deathbringer

Side topic… I really wish you could choose an option between Summoning Gary with 2 of his friends that mimics your Death Coil… Or a Lich that summons a Skeletal Mage for every Deathchill Bolt it casts… and makes the Magi always shoot Deathchill Bolts.

oh man that’d be cool.

If you wish to see the concept in action, look up Caliban in Warframe. The ability is called Lethal Progeny and summons one of the three sentient minions to choose from:

He summons 3 Conculysts or Ortholysts. Conculysts (Drones with batons) mimic his Fusion Strikes while Ortholysts just does a lot of damage from distance.

He summons 1 Summulyst (A tall and slim looking Sentient, like a Maldraxxi lich!) that creates up to 7 Chorlysts to draw aggro from enemies and shooting Sentient Bolts.

I genuinely think Unholy DK could use some inspiration from Caliban in Warframe. It’s definitely possible to fit Gary bringing his own friends as well as mimicing Death Coil or summon a Lich that can raise magi for you!

Talents expanding upon a hero talent tree obviously do not belong in your spec tree.

Speaking of inspiration from Warframe, I think Saryn’s Spores are a much better implementation of Festering wounds. To summarize it briefly, they are a dot with an infinite duration that you can apply to enemies in multiple stacks dealing more damage over time the more stacks an enemy has. They can be burst when you hit an enemy with any melee or ranged attack assuming you have your Toxic Lash ability up (which should be 100% of the time). When burst they deal some direct damage and spread spores onto all nearby targets. It also ramps up it’s damage on the Warframe instead of on the target, so it’s like a necrotic plague that ramps up on the player instead of the target. Eventually it ramps up too high and everyone dies causing the damage to reset to 0. You also lose 25% of the ramped up damage if you recast, so your encouraged to spread existing casts instead of applying it fresh.

Would this be balanced in wow? probably not, Warframe is a much faster paced game, but I do think that some inspiration can be drawn from it.

Deathbringer in Midnight? I’d enjoy two things.

For Blood, Give me a perpetual Dancing Rune Weapon, with all of the benefits ((If you need to nerf it, make it 75% effective like Unholy’s Disease talent.))

And for Frost, Make the big scythe swing even bigger, and inflict a DoT until target’s death not unlike the Liberation of Undermine Weapons.

That would make me happy.

that would be pretty cool, would be down for it. i really want more execute specific interaction personally. i wish deathbringer brought us up in execute to the point of like arms warrior or something.

Can I drop a hero talent suggestion here? This would be for deathbringer to give them a bit more utility. Riders gets an upgrade to Deaths Advance, so how about we give Deathbringer a little boost to wraith walk?

Reaper’s Walk (somebody please come up with a cooler name)

Enter the shadowlands, removing all root effects and increasing your movement speed by 100% for 5 sec. You turn invisible for the duration. Taking any action cancels the effect.

While active, your movement speed cannot be reduced below 170%.

Would be cool if the screen changed to look like it does when you’re dead, kind of like mages invisibility does. Would be a nice little mobility and utility boost and feels pretty thematic. Imagine you pop your reapers mark, reaper walk over to your next target, and appear out of the shadows with a fat exterminate right to their face. You know it would be dope as hell.

It would probably drop combat for blood which isn’t ideal but I’m sure somebody can come up with a workaround lol.

hmm i dont due to being there in the beginning when it went live… and being so so so friggin awful

ya know the hero talent that boosts soul could be made into the class tree cuz not alot of people will choose it due to the other one giving extra charges to KM

remove all that garbage, give us points to spend back into class/spec tree again and make our abilities feel good again, Even tanking and healing feels horrible.

I’ll be in a Raid or a mythic key and it feels like what it says on our abilities is a lie, non of it feels good or feels like its not doing anything at all.
