I’m 55 7+ keys and 18 heroic kills in and I’m still using 2-3 champ pieces. It’s really cancerous to gear this slowly, and its making it really hard to enjoy an already kinda disgusting season.

You haven’t been playing this game very long, have you? Because if this is gearing “slowly,” then you must’ve had an absolute breakdown before M+, the Vault, crafting and the Catalyst.

Gearing is faster than ever now. Stop playing for loot and you’ll have more fun
You’ll get the voidcore system in a couple days. That should help you resolve the issue

I’ve been gearing my alts with the delves heroic loot you unlock later on the delve journey, much faster/efficient than farming M+ to me and there’s some pretty decent trinket. Only issue is when you’ll want to do the switch to M+ you wont have score. You’ll also cap your hero crests rather easily while doing this.

Ive got some champ peices still, doesnt matter too much though cause Im hero crest capped anyways. just got with the flow
You say this in the easiest tier to gear due to the crest upgrade track split no longer forcing you to use 2 lots of M track crests per H piece you want to maximise.
Keep farming keys champ. Also seek help for your comments.
