Heritage Armor Quedt not appearing for a boosted character

I posted this on Bug Reports forum as well but no responses yet. Posting here to get some help.

I just used my Midnight pre-order lvl 80 boost on my old Human Paladin Main. I went to Stormwind to start the Heritage Armor quest “An Urgent Matter”, and it is not showing up anywhere, not in the Adventuring Guide, as a pop-up (like it did on my hunter), and I cannot find Mathias Shaw on the rampart behind the keep.

According to us.support.blizzardDOTcom/en/help/article/184544 (sorry, I can’t seem to post links), using a character boost should not disqualify me from getting this armor/quest. Can someone help?

Hi there!,

Ya. You are correct on the Support Article. You used to have to level up your character to unlock the Heritage Armor Quests. No longer it seems however.

I would post a Bug Report over on the Bug Report Forum. As seeing this is likely a bug you are running into.

In the meantime, I would just re-level the race you are trying to unlock the Heritage Armor questline on. Doing this in the meantime should unlock it for you.

You also wont get a response on the bug forums its a one way street unless they need more information.

This wowhead comments for this quest suggest you also need exalted. If you sort by ‘newest first’, there is mention of it appearing at the embassy.

The support article does not mention rep requirements. But, it also does not, not, mention it as well. So, who knwos?

Edit: I should also note that SW has like a bajillion quest phases. Maybe a quest you are on is preventing it? And, maybe it is a bug.

Reputation requirements were removed for core races in Dragonflight.

Gotcha. Okie dokie then. Maybe embassy? Maybe quest phase? Maybe bug then?

Edit: If this is an old toon, boosted, maybe they need to do the Dragon Flight intro stuff in SW first? That can phase things I think I remember.

The core races never had boost or RaF experience restrictions for their heritage armor, it is just the allied races.

I am having the same issue on a non-boosted character. Did you find an answer to getting the quest to appear? I tried a support ticket but it was closed saying they don’t help with this stuff.

Gona have to be more specific which rance and whats the ne of the toon if if u want help.

From what I can see Gunbore managed to pick up An Urgent Matter in the last couple of days and complete the quest line but there is no indication of what may have been the issue.

If you are referring to this character, Arcas, you don’t yet qualify for the Heritage Armor quests. Your Human only needs to be level 50 but you have to have at least one level 60 character on your Battle.net account.

You figured it out thank you! I didn’t see that qualifier anywhere and was confused. I thought maybe it was either a bug and I was out of luck or a phasing thing. So I would have gotten it eventually just by playing. Thank you for letting me know for sure! I appreciate it very much!

Hey, there. Figured to reply here because my issue is the same as Gunbore. I used my midnight boost on the toon listed here and then for safe measure a week or so later I grinded the Pandaren rep to exalted. But I cannot accept the heritage quest. The quest is in my Adventuring guide under suggested content, but clicking on the accept button does nothing and the npc in the embassy has no quest mark above her head.

Edit.

Seems for some unknown reason the first part of the quest is gone or done, because I had to go talk to LiLi to start the travel to the wandering isle… Weird.
