Level 10 healer doing literally 2.4k DPS Spinning Crane Kicking their way through the entire dungeon, killing all mobs before you can get a spell off, not looting anything, and killing bosses before you know it’s a boss.
You REALLY need to fix the tuning at low levels. I know you think it doesn’t matter because ‘end game is all that matters’ but I promise you, new players and returning players will leave and have left due to this.
It’s not fun. It’s not engaging. It’s obviously broken. I don’t even want to do dungeons as a veteran player because it’s so absurd.

Thanks to the fact that almost everyone has stopped investing in their future in the game, you won’t run into this much anymore. You should probably be less concerned in parsing in a leveling dungeon.

Nothing to do with “parsing”. It’s not fun. It’s outright dumb.
The healer just spins through the whole dungeon killing all mobs and can’t die at level 10 doing 2500 DPS while everyone else just plays catchup not even attacking.
That was the whole dungeon. I got off two spells on the third boss and then none on anything else.
It was a horrible experience and if I was a new player that would be a major red flag.

I hate this so much. I’ll queue up with a neglected toon to get some practice in, and I find that I can’t even do anything. Heck, I’m not even playing at that point – I’m just running as fast as I can to catch up to the crazy tank.
Can’t even imagine how this would make a new player feel. And this game needs new players really badly.

Good news Blizzard is working on making a AI team that you can run with in dungeons so you can solo run with a bunch of AI bots at your own pace. No more do you have to deal with anyone else’s speed leveling or clearing of a dungeon.

Dungeons at low levels in general are broken. Some later expansion content may have mechanics you need to do, many do not. Players don’t really get to learn anything other than ‘elites have more health’. There are no pressure points or challenges that are appropriate for low levels. And yeah, scaling in dungeons is arguably a disaster for player experience. I think they should ditch scaling for dungeons altogether and have a cohesive, evergreen dungeon pool of completely revamped vanilla dungeons. Maybe have a soft scaling where the player scales to the dungeon’s level range - for example, a dungeon could be 20-30 and scales everyone to 25.
Leveling is quick, but imo it is a very unfun experience, especially in dungeons.
Edit: Gear is also lifeless in dungeons. In the old days, getting an awesome item you were chasing felt great, like scarlet pieces, specific weapons or trinkets, etc. Now everything is so homogeneous it’s just an endless slog of ‘+20 main stat, +10 secondary, +10 other secondary’. Scaling broke the power fantasy of gear chasing in dungeons and I really miss that. I remember fondly, for example, doing Razorfen Downs as a warrior to get the plate chest piece off the spider boss as your first piece of plate gear.

Dungeons end up feeling like an afterthought. There’s this zone-long quest experience leading up to this dungeon, and then the whole dungeon is done in 15 minutes. This is at end-game. I can only imagine how much worse it is leveling.

I think he also queued with a lvl 10 mW monk doing 200k by just spinning

Hello, I see you posted a thread about dungeons. Haha, this game is massive mess! One of the major reasons why leveling is so fast is they hope people will get to max level quickly as to avoid all of the jank, haha!

I can see a new player having problems if he /she is totally new to online games and MMORPGS… but most people have played one or 2 and understand it.
If the player is between 6 and 13 years old, parent should show them a few things before leaving to go to work and expecting PC to be babysitter.
Leveling dungeons should be removed. They’re bad for new players, and everyone else does nothing but complain about them.

At this point, I’d love Blizzard to make fully AI players who socialize in the chat channels to make my server feel more alive. No one talks anymore. Unless war mode is on. People talk in war mode.

they remove leveling dungeons i’ll definitely quit who wants to quest in 2023. i used a monk to level a couple my toons but that crazy dps don’t last long it lasts 3 or 4 levels but my friend kept making a new so i was all good.

I mean, I understand where you are coming from and I think the same (to a lesser extent), but I think you are overexaggerating the problem. It quickly balances out as you level up. If you’re using full heirlooms then idk what to say but what do you expect? Either you want to level quickly, or you don’t.
Yeah they need to make it where you one shot everything from 10-60. Instead you get nerfed as you level
