Ain’t biting , you’re not that good of a troll
I meant the paladin. u good fam
OP well said! Ive been thinking similar things (I count the money for the sub a wash lol). I think at this point the Devs, who are caretakers of the game until it passes on to other caretakers, just like it has since those who actually created the game left, at this point its just deciding to whether to wait and see if they listen to paying players or not. I used to think they would. Being a female minority, I dont feel heard, I feel overlooked, I dont feel included, and I feel like it doesn’t matter what players want.
Very well said. I 100% agree
Nah, I enjoyed my time in wow and think it was very cheap for the value I got out of it, I wouldn’t trade it back.
I mean, I like south park… south park literally did an episode centered around WOW. I thought the standards in humor were pretty interchangeable… That was the game I bought into. Ok this one franchise which I like is kind of like or associated with this other one I kinda like neat - easy buy.
Now I just dont know what blizzard/wow is about anymore… is it not a place to have fun? there entire inclusivity value system seems to be hypocritic when you start telling players “no you cannot find this funny anymore it does represent who we are”… i.e we are now excluded?
Blizzard will not listen to any voice or argument that is counter to what they want to do shadowlands beta proved that, the feedback loop is broken when Ion can say “I hear what you are saying but you need to understand we are gonna do it anyway because its what we want to do”.
I recommend everyone who thinks all this editing is a good thing watch the new Dave Chapel special on Netflix. I watched it last night, he is truly a master of his craft. It may open your eyes if you can get past being offended for an hour.
Sure it is. It’s our game the same way football teams can be a person’s team. It doesn’t mean we own it, but that it is personal to us.
It is, is his, mine, is of the community, the community can kill the game or revive it.
When an IP is too big it ceases to belong to its legal owners only, things are complicated by the intervention of the communities and the communities dictate in many cases the way, the community decides that if something is successful or a failure, the best example of this is the Star Wars franchice.
In the case of WoW this can be seen on private servers, when the official game stops providing satisfaction, private servers grow up. And the reality is that if Blizzard tried to shut down each and every one of the private servers out there, it would lose too much money.
The solution is to provide quality content that keeps the community satisfied, otherwise people will simply go on to make their own head canon (private servers) if they still have enough love for the franchise, or move on to something else if they are already exhausted of the bulls***.
I would agree to ,op, it is his game he lived in it and reacted to it environment,we all do and some still are but it just feels out of place when things we known for years are changed and not in a good way.
People don’t like things being taken away from them.
You realize that what you are saying basically an insult, right?
I get it.
I feel the same way about my life.
I sent my displeasure at these changes in the only way they understand. By cancelling my subscription. It will end at the end of the month and unless they stop this nonsense I will never return. I will just have to find a way to get my one friend who still plays to join me elsewhere.
Wow literally costs as much in a full year as 2 triple a titles. It’s nothing and if you can’t afford spending this little then you should not in the first place…
That said, yes the devs are bad and do idiotic decisions with their power over the playerbase. Handful of devs vs millions of people but they are “right”… sad times.
