Here's how Blizz can prove their support of BLM is sincere

I said largely peaceful not entirely peaceful. There has never been any movement that is entirely peaceful. But what you have is the protesters creating a wall of moms, veterans, dads, etc. and then they get maced and beat even if they did not do anything dangerous or destructive.

Thats the thing though. Law enforcement repeatedly violated social contract by beating these peaceful protesters and even during their day to day job killing civilians who have no professional training over how to handle cops. Yet they continue to get away with it. If they get fired they get hired at another place. Most don’t even go to jail nor face any consequences in general.

Protesters that did cause destruction faced consequences. They went to jail, etc.
they got what they deserve and now people want the corrupt police to get what they deserve too.

The DHS personnel sent to protect federal facilities in Portland are sworn civilian federal law enforcement officers, not active duty military personnel.

  • Enforcing federal law is not by invitation. The FBI, DEA, ATF, and other federal law enforcement agencies do not require local requests from communities to enforce federal law.
  • Federal law clearly states that DHS has the authority to protect federal property and arrest criminals who damage federal property or attack federal officers.
  • Local and state leaders have prohibited the Portland police from enforcing laws that could bring this violence to an end.
  • Federal law, in particular 40 U.S.C. § 1315, clearly states that the Secretary of Homeland Security “ shall protect the buildings, grounds, and property that are owned, occupied, or secured by the Federal Government.”
  • Federal officers have been protecting the courthouse in downtown Portland since it was built 1997.

There was a young woman who lost her sister (who was peacefully protesting in a BLM protest earlier this summer). She was shot by a stray bullet (not a cop) getting into a car as her friends/family whisked her out of there. Basically wrong place, wrong time.

But leftists, are you seriously gonna look the bereaved girl in the eye and tell her about how your rights have been violated because your govt is trying to restore order to prevent more deaths like her sister’s? Think about that.

I didn’t specifically say you did. Just making a point.

I am part of no team. Only logic and looking at facts. I would just rather have trump over biden. But trumps no saint.

That explains the court house but not the rest of the city. They have no authority beyond that point.

They are protecting others who did so guess what they are complicit in those actions and considered the same.

Its probably because the local authority isn’t acting to retain order so the feds are forced to.

  • 40 U.S.C. § 1315 explicitly states that DHS may “conduct investigations, on and off the property in question, of offenses that may have been committed against property owned or occupied by the Federal Government or persons on the property.”

  • Acting in conjunction with the Department of Justice, DHS law enforcement officers are expressly authorized to leave federal property to conduct investigations and arrest individuals who have damaged federal property or attacked federal agents.

Unless martial law is declared, or the federals are invited in. They have no authority beyond that point. They are an invading force. Coming into the state uninvited.

No they made a symbol protecting black lives who constantly have to face police brutality.

That’s only for those who did things to the courthouse. Like I said no authority beyond that point.

lol, always innocent people on that blm side isn’t it.

We covered all that already. You’re mistaken.

No you really didn’t you covered how they are allowed to defend federal property. They are not allowed to make unrelated arrests in unmarked vans. Terrorizing peaceful protesters all in the name of the Big Orange.

Then welcome to the wild west since the local authority won’t act. Hope you are armed and the next neo when the mob comes for you.

As the feds stay at federal property.

Do you really want that? The rioters are by definition not peaceful.

not all the protests are Riots, and are all being treated as such.

Federal property is under the jurisdiction of the Federal police, i.e courthouses, senate hearing rooms, etc.

Also, Federal police have the authority to go into any state under government orders. They aren’t an invading force. They are Federal police doing the job the local police aren’t doing.

And there we have it: the entirety of your argument, distilled to its purest form.
