Here we go again

Gotta go with your gut on what seems more plausible. A company admitting they messed up…or going back on their decision because so many quit. We know there was a huge number of subs lost at that time. But I guess they just decided to “listen” to those instead that wanted to fly and didnt care about those sub losses. So large in fact that they quit reporting them.

And that’s a fine opinion to hold, some people hate mop, some hate wrath, some love cata.

Overall consensus though is that it was a good expansion.

I wonder what it’s like to create content that loses your company 100’s of millions in lost potential revenue?

You can ask them now, because, even though I have a small sampling size, this expansion is a make or break for so many people I know on this game. If they do not deliver something worth interest this time around it will be a dead game as far as my gaming community is concerned.

Game is never really going to see a huge increase again no matter what they do, it’s old, the genre itself is in a decline, people just don’t have time to play mmo’s anymore.

That said, the only time there was a huge decrease was after a huge spike when people thought WoD was TBC 2.0, which it wasn’t ever designed to be.

Why not for the main source of content you want to play the option for bis is available to you from the start then you progress and get other components for the other parts of the game you dont focus on. What about that is a flawed system?

no idea lets ask ENRON

And what do the people you know in game do?

This game is funded mostly by people who never touch a raid outside lfr, never do pvp beyond a random bg, spend most of their time farming transmog and doing pet battles, something like covenants is never going to affect them.

I guess we have it all figured out then.

Basically though people are arguing to delay the game to fix a system that will ACTUALLY only affect less that 5% of the game to degree that matters (super hardcore, WF raiders, Gladiator PvPers, and M+ pushers) and will annoy about another 30-40% because they THINK they need that 1% dmg.

Most people won’t actually care either way. But I doubt they want the game delayed over something they don’t care about.

Until they stop trying to build/bend the game around a certain system and start making content for the sake of doing it and having fun then people are going to keep criticizing.

How about you don’t put words in my mouth? Thank you.

Metro complains about people calling him a shill, because he has a tendency to defend Blizzard even when they make bad decisions. One prime example, if I remember correctly, was that he defended Azerite during Alpha.

So what I’m telling Metro is that the way he puts him self out there leads others to believe he is a shill of some sort. And the fact that he constantly complains about said accusations is only pouring more fuel in the fire baiting people to do it more.

Nobody is “bullying.”

I’m just explaining to him why I disagree, and why others call him a shill. Also, he’s an MVP. He signed up for this and knew what he was getting himself into.

I am so tired of borrowed power. Just give my toon the abilities it needs to be successful without having to get
Legendary weapon powered up
The optimal legendary items
Azerite necklace powered up
Optimal essences
Optimal corruption
Legendary cloak powered up

Enough already

Enron has since become a well-known example of willful corporate fraud and corruption. The scandal also brought into question the accounting practices and activities of many corporations in the United States.

What predatory corporations don’t seem to realize is if you act like a virus and kill your host you are stuck finding another host to feed off of or die like enron.

Because what if I want to do all the content?

Is that really so hard to figure out?

Why limit people? It’s stupid. And you also just pointed out the big error.

Picking a BiS Covenant. What if that Covenant is Venthyr? I don’t like the Venthyr. I still won’t join them, but I won’t enjoy having to deal with a much weaker ability.

That is flawed.

I’ve come to the conclusion that they will never stop with this nonsense. And thinking on it, the answer becomes obvious. If they stop, what will people do for the entirety of the expansion?

I mean, sure. The best expansions of ages passed didn’t do it. But for whatever reason, that’s no longer a thing :man_shrugging:

GD hates common sense.

“Influencers” are also players, whether or not people like them. You can’t “play the game happily” when you have trully awful systems like early azerite armor on top of having many specs’ toolkit severely butchered and just left to rot for the entire expansion.

See here is the thing. I don’t know what he said. I will form my own opinion.

I might go look it up though. Who knows.

One thing is certain though. There will be ONE covenant for serious end game content. One choice that destroys the others. There always is. These things are never balanced. So once again, while there is illusion of choice, there most likely will be no choice.

All of that said, we really don’t know what we are going to get yet. Things can change so much between now and launch. Let alpha see it in action. Let beta see it in action. Let’s at least give them a chance to learn from the BFA alpha beta cycle before the sky falls.

Your class is going to matter far more than your covenant ability.

There is generally no point in trying most of these people have already made up there minds that it sucks without even trying it out first. What is sad about this is we have not even seen the alpha yet. To quote Tali the forums are a s**t show!
