Here we go again

GCD, how it made things feel so rough. That is one of the reasons I lost interest so quick into BFA. Everything felt…bad that I played.

I wouldn’t say fire him would not like to see anyone lose their job .

THis comming from a guy who just got furloughed as of today from his job.

Also I can think of worse people to run things like my companies current CEO

Not going to name my company but this CEO used to run Blockbuster and was the one that told Netflix to bug off when they approached him about merging together when Blockbuster was the king of video rentals and Netflix was an up and coming company.

We all know how that has all turned out.

He’s a lawyer by trade. His time spent leading WoW has proven that being the GM of EJ didn’t qualify him for the job. His best trait is using lawyerspeak to explain obvious timesinks and reduced resources allotted to this game.

Funny enough, someone that ran something called elitist jerks has issues with people questioning their decisions.

Yeah. I can see those kinds of changes being frustrating, for sure!

Only if they give me all 4, i like that there is a choice in it.

And the abilities are only a small part of the whole system anyway, the soulbinds could be much more impactful.

if that’s the only qualification to be in charge of something like this why isn’t Will Wright trying to get a job working for a civil engineering firm?

No, but his time spent as lead encounter designer did.

Implying doing a bad job qualifies you for a promotion. I’m guessing you work for the government.

People get promotions and demotions all the time.

What? He was lead encounter designer for the best raids in wow, how is that “doing a bad job”

it works for Kazzak after all he came back with a new designation and was stronger than ever several times

That could definitely help but I think we can all say, as a whole, his time at the helm has not been overly positive. I remember the Ghostcrawler days. This feels worse.

WoD Kazzak would like a word :stuck_out_tongue: he was a wimp

Ghostcrawler was a class designer, not really comparable. Just goes to show people get mad at whoever is the one who speaks to the community though.

Legion was widely received as a good expansion and it was Ion’s first full expansion (he moved into Lead role during WoD, was assistant before that)

Thing is he has spent more time as part of a gaming company on the development side then he has a a lawyer.

There are plenty of people that have made career changes . Does that mean their previous career defines who they are ?

Legion was GOD AWFUL at the beginning. Only when they took out the horrendous RNG at the end was that expansion worth mentioning as being good. Yeah, it was good for those that got extremely lucky for sure. I bet those people had a ball.

Sorry, I will always regard legion as a terrible expansion except for the last 1/3rd. That last 1/3rd after the RNG was taken out was a great expansion. But I also hate what they did to by beloved ret paladins. I have never recovered my interest for this game after those changes. To this day, when I play Ret it feels wrong.

Actually he became Director around the time of Legions release .

During the the development stages of Legion he was the Assistant GD so he had a lot of say but even more so with Bobbing for Abilities.

As I said.

Nope.

We can only go based off what they say. Just cause you want it to be something doesn’t mean it is.

Not how it works.
