Keep listening. The only addons they have a problem with are those that play the game for you. They specifically say addons that make the game easier to read are fine, which is what this is.
But this isn’t… this auto invites for you and auto spams chat for you. That’s playing the game for you. O_o
Nope.
We’re the “this existed in vanilla and has no negative impact at all, so get over it” types.
It’s not very well hidden, 30 seconds poking in the interface is all it took me.
You are really dense
These are of course my opinions but that’s all any of this is in this thread. Ultimately the devs will decide if this addon is in the true spirit of what they are trying to capture with Classic.
No it does not auto invite.
Read first then comment
Their was no auto invite in vanilla. There should be no auto invite in classic
I’m sorry did something change since earlier today when the video clip instantly invited people and spammed chat?
If so then I retract what I’ve been saying.
Then why are auto chat addons allowed and auto guild invites allowed, but not addons that do your rotation or fish for you?
It’s clear what “play the game for you” means. They dont want another decursive that does your dispelling for you.
What is so wrong with trying the game out with #nochanges at first? Why does it need to be modified at launch, with a feature that for all intents and purposes does seem to mirror some aspects of retail wow LFG? There are lots of things in classic which you could compare to chats bad interface, but the totality of the construction is arguable the best game ever made.
Nope the BfA version does that. The classic version does not.
The video is a cry for attention nothing more
So you want ALL chat add-ons banned then…
whats next Mail add-ons??? Auction House add-ons??? Outfitter???
Macros…
but that does not stop communication IN the dungeon.
and how does it populate that list? and get the players?, from people looking for groups in the chat channels, the same as if you hit your macro, or typed LFM DM need dps
Thank you for clarifying.
Yes, there was. Stop spreading misinformation. Add-ons could parse “inv” whispers and send invites by typing a /invite [name] message into chat.
Why? Because I’d like a classic experience as close to the original as possible? Why do you insist on trying to **** up something that people have been trying to get for 10 years when you already have everything you want in retail. To me you just come across as an arrogant *****.
That was just more fearmongering from the gullible people who thought that the addon in the video is the Classic version. What they didn’t seem to notice is that the person in question is playing on BFA at the time of testing, and that there’s a completely separate Classic version of the addon that, as has been clarified time and again, does not have this feature.
No. But I don’t want a group finding addon that auto-invites and then spams chat for said group… however it seems this addon does not auto-invite after all, so all is well.
The original had an add-on like this.
