You’re forgetting about Innkeepers.
and you should read what people type, its not about what the addon have, its about what it can do… and the very same addon can do just what OP says, and that is the problem…
The autoinvitation needs to be blocked in ways so the social game play cant be automated
Again, not what I asked.
Im assuming you are refering to the auto invite box, correct? If so the video dose not prove that you can just randomly get a group.
In the video he checks the auto invite option, makes a group for dm, the person sees the group and whispers “invite me”, they are then added to the party.
You just don’t get it I suppose. One is automated and one is community driven. You will know. This is a nonissue of course since it will not be in game.
Man this one is trolling you lol
Are you trolling or did you make the addon? Seriously. You have to be one or the other because you’ve been on and off this thread trying to push “the meeting stone” thing forever posting links to various patch notes. I went to a work meeting, had lunch, went to a movie, had dinner, came back and you are still pushing it.
Here’s where you are wrong…‘brah’.
-
All the patches you are posting after 1.12 are not automated (Edited for those who cannot follow). Therefore it had zero bearing on the current version of Classic. ZERO. Even though the stones were implemented, they were not automated in this version of Classic life LFR; therefore most likely never will be.
-
Even if the stones did work the way you want them too you would have to travel there first and most people would ask in chat to form a group as they went. It was a common thing. Again, not fully automated.
Did you even play vanilla?
Also, this add-on obviously has far more criticism than support (obviously mostly from retail players) and as mentioned in the classic video; it is not in line with what Blizzard want to do with Classic, (PATCH 1.12) so it’ll be broken.
Sorry, ‘brah’.
The link is the actual addon, it has no button for auto invite and is fine as is imo.
What you are doing is speculating, and what iffing…
Blizzard already stated they would break auto group addons, chill.
How will you know? I’m still waiting on am answer. Because there were times on my tank and healer that I would be invited instantly in Vanilla.
Are you for real? Like, are you seriously saying that patch 1.3, 1.5, and 1.7 came after patch 1.12?
This is taken from wowwiki fandom’s page on patch 1.5:
- Innkeepers around the world now have a gossip option that lets you join a meeting stone directly from the innkeeper rather than going to the location of the meeting stone. Also these Innkeepers will now have background lore about each of the dungeons.
you will never get a direct answer to this question, lol.
You were there since launch but didn’t get the tabard of the protector? Yikes, sorry for the bad luck. Or even the 2007 brewfest? Looks like a wrath kid to me.
Dude. I think I’m being gaslighted. Someone just said that patch 1.5 came after patch 1.12.
I don’t normally E-beg, but… Halp? I think I’ve been concussed or something.
well it came after patch 1.1.2, is that better?
We know there is two version in development, at the very least, iwe even had the creator in esfands twitch stream, explaning what the addon does, and features the creator can turn off…
The problem isnt the creators addon, the problem is said features is only turned off, it means someone else can make the addon we are talking about… and it already exist as far as we know…
Im not arguing against the version that essentailly jsut helps you see other channels, what im against is the possibility of this addon creating automated social gameplay, and that automated gameplay needs to be blocked…
I never played classic wow. But I played a game called Everquest2 so I know how these lfg finders work. First it doesnt seem like it will harm anything but it ruins the social aspect of an mmo.
You no longer have to talk to anyone, no longer have to forge relationships with anyone. Not only does it ruin the social aspect but also the exploration of zones. For example you find a group of people to go to a certain dungeon and while on the way you could run into quests, named mobs and just enjoy the scenery on the way there.
You no longer have that experience when lfg is a thing.
i missed the vampiric batling pet and the blizzard bear due to a break:O( Which also cost me my 10 year statue…
no he has a legacy pvp title
No I’m not. Because by that point most people ignored the stones and innkeepers due to the negativity from 1.3 to 1.5. And even with innkeepers added the system it was only for dungeons they were near by. You couldn’t go to an innkeeper by Diremaul and queue up for UBRS or Scholo. You still had to travel to the vicinity of the dungeon to queue for it.
Furthermore, check out patch 1.7 and the bugs that had to be fixed. from 1.3 to 1.7 stones would often unqueue you if someone disconnected, you’d be kicked from a stone and often not informed, etc. So even with the 1.5 improvements there were still a ton of issues revolving around them, not to mention the negative impression players had about them and why they were rarely used.
i mean if you watched the clip it clearly does… “auto-accepts” “auto-invite” looks like it auto fills to me
