Because the LFG channel has everyone who’s looking for a group. When you’re trying to put your deadmines group together, you have to also compete with chat window space with the people putting SM groups together, and the people putting WC groups together, and the people putting UBRS groups together.
This lets you filter it to only see the ones you need. So you’re only seeing the deadmines groups, or only seeing the people looking for a deadmines group. It organizes /4, basically.
Pro-tip: The addon actually broadcasts that you’re looking for more into that chat channel.
Seriously, at this point, I’m convinced most people are just seeing the name of the addon and commenting on it with no idea what it’s actually designed to do.
If the addon can auto invite it needs to be broken. Period.
If not then I’m ok if the retail folks want to use it to make the feel “more at home”. But if the addon spams chat expect those that use it to be RCR’d early and often.
Then I don’t think you have a point? You’re saying neither used the addon because the example person whispered invite to the group leader. Which is demonstrably false, as the addon gives you a list of players who whispered you and a button to invite them to the party.
Instead of being obtuse, why not give a definitive answer?
The maker of the video also used the current WoW client, not the classic one. Also the author of the Addon said that this was not a feature in the current version of this addon. You’ve been bamboozled.
