You should use your knowledge to do something that benefits the community rather than divide it. I hope your project gets shut down and dragged through the trenches.
But if you use an older version sooner or later the accumulated bugs will crash your game. Sure it might still work for a little while but eventually it breaks.
Just by typing “lfm hogger” puts you in the addon even if you dont have it.
If the addon is scanning for that particular phrase. Which it could be for people in that zone. But at that point the same thing happens, auto invite, kill elite, leave.
I agree 100%. I also think that many people that are returning for Classic do not come on these forums. They just are waiting patiently for launch. When they log in and realize the LFG addon is in game, there will be even more backlash. I fully suspect some people will straight out unsub, some will resist, but ultimately it will result in a divided playerbase. What will happen as more and more people use the addon, is that as it becomes more popular, the others that do not use it will be forced to use it eventually. I swear its like the plague.

Which is no different (except time forming a group) from making a group manually, killing hogger, and never talking to the people again (if you so choose to).
Also worth pointing out is that the addon functions almost exactly like the lfg custom group maker bit in Retail that Blizzard intentionally removed for Classic.

People naturally take the path of least resistance, which this addon offers. As time goes on more and more will use it forcing those hold outs to either bite the bullet and download it and pull further away from the Classic experience or remain un-competitive to those that do use it.

yep, what I can see is the borg hive mind all drooling like people that have lobotomies standing around in SW.
Except you might actually talk to your group as it manually fills since it potentially would take longer. I guess the real question is based on how this is designed (especially the custom group creator) and the auto invite feature in the custom feature do you see parallels to how this could be used and how the dungeon finder and custom group finder are used in retail? If so then that alone speaks as to why it shouldn’t be in Classic. If you can’t see the potential parallels then nothing I ever say is going to convince you they exist. At that point all I can do is wish you well and hope your adventures in Classic Azeroth provide the experience you’re looking for 
The main feature, which makes it okay to me, is that you have to initiate everything by talking to someone. If it was like retail where you just push a button and get an insta party then i wouldnt want it in the game.
But you have to whisper someone to even show up on the thing. What happens afterwards is on the players. If you dont end up talking to anyone that is on you, not the addon.
This addon author will not stop until it has all the functionality of the Dungeon Finder and more. These features need to be removed/broken. A toggle to use this functionality is unacceptable.
- No Talents
- No Auto-Invite
- No push button Invite/Decline
Well this is a trolling LIE since the author, who posts here, said he’s removing items.

It’s impossible to keep up with all the constant updates to these threads as well as this addon. I’m seeing discussion of talents being accessible if you use a toggle.
Perhaps this author needs to create a thread, keep it updated so the Community can respond.
I believe the author has voluntarily agreed to remove these things. Having said that, I agree that these functions need to be broken for ANY add on used for forming random groups.

At launch? Sure. What about in two months? Six? Or if this is approved by Blizzard maybe another author comes along and makes a more comprehensive lfg tool that does have some of the things that Suu removed from his version. At what point do we draw the line and say this is too far from what Classic WoW was trying to capture? Because as I’ve said before once you start moving goal posts for what is acceptable there will be players who will wish to push it further and further. That is one of the reasons people don’t want this addon. Not just for what it can do but for what it could lead to.
The addon author has already stated that it will not read talents.
You have to whisper a certain phrase, most likely some form of “invite me”, to show up on the list. They also removed the auto invite option for dungeons.
The invite button works the same as typing /invite
