I am not helping my case with you because you dont see a difference between programming and human brain apparently. I cant help explain it any better than to say that a program is faster and more efficient than you in creating a group you want.
If you have an answer to everything feel free to use the addon though it seems like you dont really need it since you just use the chat channels and fill your group just as quickly. It would seem like a moot point for you anyway.

At first I thought it was kind of just the TBC group finder put into classic. I knew no matter what the addon couldn’t auto invite (not the case now) or teleport you. So I didn’t find it a big issue - but this is too much. Please break this, Blizz!!!
In vanilla wow, i had to make friends and whisper people on my friends list and say hey want to run this dungeon like we did a week ago? It’s a struggle so i have to make friends and bond with people. Aka community driven gameplay.
In retail, I just click join dungeon, hi, bye. Never see them again.

Efficiency is not the point of OG mmorpgs. Efficiency is generally at the detriment of the RP part. EG. - travel is inherently inefficient because you’ve got to cross the world on foot & questing is inherently inefficient because it takes more than 1 person to do certain things - so why is this important with LFG?
Efficiency isn’t against the spirit of Classic. I had bag sorting add-ons and gear management add-ons and all sorts of other things.
I’ll use it because it’ll pretty up my UI.
That’s something we hope for.

Apparently we did watch different videos
Go to the 18ish mark in the video and watch the chat above the streamers live feed. The party member whispers “invite me” before showing up in the addon.
Hopefully this gets broken. Maybe the author finds some dignity and takes it down.
It would seem that blizzard disagrees with you with effency though. For example in vanilla we had Decrusive. Its efficiency was quite clear for clearing the raid debuffs and was later removed since it was more or less playing the game for you. If the a group finder addon is making groups by you just putting the group up with no further information, auto inviting classes you want rejecting those you dont making sure specs are inline with what you set up then it is infact making groups for you after you set up your filters. There is no communcation needed just a Group Finder window and advertised groups.
And that is your prerogative to do so! To that end i have zero issue if it stays in the game in the long run.
Why? You really think if we make it to Cataclysm we’ll see less of a whiplash from Wrath heroics to Cata heroics? Do you honestly think they’ll just not give us the barbershop in Wrath or transmog in Cata? If they do Classic TBC and Classic Wrath and so on, we’ll get exactly what this is going to be: the end patch for classes and balancing with a phased roll-out of content.
I think what people are failing to realize is the reason why this addon in of itself is absolutely toxic to the spirit of classic is, lets say the addon is used by a percentage of classic players lets say 25% for example. Those 25% will rely on grouping with a 0 interaction LFG. It is exponentially easier to find a party with LFG then without it. You a pushing people to use it if you do you have an advantage, its an unfair advantage that completely goes against classic wow
Imagine of someone created an addon that allowed mounts to fly? Would that be okay? Allowing world PVP to be erased in an instant because its convenient? it is EXACTLY the same concept! THIS ADDON ISNT CLASSIC!
This creates the issue either you use it and win by easily finding meta parties and not having to develop social skills or meet players or god forbid use a non-optimal party and try something new or not use it and have a More authentic classic experience and finding parties the old fashioned way.
Basically the more people that use it the more it will grow exponentially. as more and more people use it they wont be able to find parties otherwise.
But Im Clearly biased because im honestly looking for authentic Classic Wow experience and I feel LFG in some regards was a poorly executed the first time round and killed the very spirit of the game…
There is much to enjoy in the game without the use of something that takes 0 interaction with your fellow player.
TLDR; LFG is a cancer that will grow the more it is used, Forcing other players to use it or lose it. I for one am looking to meeting new people and forge lasting friendships that will last years.

Providing a message and directly communicating are not the same thing as putting a message in a chat window that someone can read and disregard as where directly communicating prompts a social responsibility to respond. Your addon has the potential to be used in the same way that the dungeon finder and custom group finder work in retail. Sure it won’t show ilevel, and you can disable the class/spec/role display but people can still require you to put a message in chat with that information or you won’t be considered. And if they see something they don’t like, they can just decline you, without ever exchanging a word. That avoids social interaction which is not what Vanilla was about or what Classic is trying to recapture. While your addon might add convenience for forming groups, the potential to abuse it with the auto invite in custom group, and the ability to dismiss people akin to how they are treated in retail using similar tools is why we don’t want this addon allowed in Classic.

Its a public service. Bad-faith trolls should be called out so folks know not to waste their time.
