Joking aside, your ilvl seems like it was probably pretty high for 8.2, but it’s not exceptionally high for 8.3. You’ll feel a lot stronger once you get that up a bit.
Also, warriors get the biggest damage increase from their weapon ilvl. Getting something stronger than 430 will give you a bit increase. Your azerite traits aren’t the ones I would be stacking, Cold Steel Hot Blood will get you some higher consistent damage and a significant increase to survivability, so try to get more than 1 of those if possible.
Well, with 8.3 introduction your ilvl would need to increase by roughly 30 for it to be equivalent to 8.2’s power level. And when I swap to fury (which is rare) I usually run 3 stacks of it, and it’s one of my top damaging abilities. Especially on AoE fights. High crit chance will keep the uptime high, just make sure you use whirlwind every 3rd ability on AoE fights and always bloodthirst right after. Whirlwind > bloodthirst > whatever, and you’ll maintain that DoT pretty reliably.
Just keep in mind, this is how I personally like to play. This isn’t the be-all-end-all method that everyone will use, it’s just what works for me, and I see the best results playing that way. Icy veins, wowhead, online guides etc. are helpful and a good place to start, but they’re not the perfect method for everyone.
I went ahead and dps simmed both my warrior and yours. I got just under 45k dps, and yours simmed for just under 44k dps. We’re only a 2 ilvl difference, but fury generally pulls higher numbers than arms. I think with some weapon ilvl upgrades, you’d see some significant improvements in your damage.
Yeah I was told to only stack 1 CBHS awhile back also. I changed that, my damage increased a little bit. But try to get 3 stacks of cold blood hot steel, and better weapons. I’m trying to get better weapons myself.
Talents - Siege breaker or Anger Management usually perform better. Anger Management somewhat hinges on what essence you run.
Azerite - Little all over the board, but mostly good. As others stated 3x CSHB will go a long way. Having an Unbridled Fury is good, and the stacking crit passive is nice as well. If you can get an Overwhelming power, it’s still useful just no where near as good as it was.
Essences - Hmm, ok, well BotE is great major. The rest are pretty single target minded. Not exactly good synergy with your Major. Maybe you’ll see a nice boost with a combo of BotE major, Minors being a combo of - Iris, Conflict and Strife, Purification protocol, Breath of the Dying.
Stats - You could stand to boost your Crit, but all secondary stats can be good for us. This will change as you get new gear, as stated earlier getting a pair of 460 weapons make a world of difference.
L2P - I’d need to look at logs to give you more details there.
Hope this helps, there are lots of good info out there with data to back it up. Like on WoWhead.
I checked your logs and it looks like you run your current setup in raid. RA is bad for ST. It’s not really great for MT either unless you really know what you’re doing - you won’t find the RA M+ rotation/opener in Archi’s guides.
Swap to SB. I’ll go over openers later.
Reforge your helm right now to swap PB for CSHB. I don’t know who told you to only get one CSHB, but they gave you bad advice. The first CSHB is worth more than the 2nd & 3rd, but they are still incredibly strong.
Yeah, they need work. BotE isn’t great until r3, but I don’t know what options you have. Buckle down and get the rest of the honor ground out. For ST, CLF is the best essence though. I know you’ve at least done a few EP boss kills, is it at all feasible for you to farm up r3 CLF?
Your minors…worldvein is generally not good for us, even under ideal situations. Lucid is alright but if you have all the right options it usually never sims highest. You need to pick up the new essence Breath of the Dying ASAP, it’s great even at rank 1. At r3 it’s unbelievable. You should have Focusing Iris and that should be simming very well for you. Conflict and Strife is also an excellent minor that you should endeavor to get at r3.
No, just sim your gear.
I really need a more recent log to dig into this. But since you’re not even running SB in everything I can see, I can at least tell you that you need to work on your opener.
For ST with BotE: Recklessness then charge, BotE, SB, Rampage, BT, then begin your priority system. Review one of the guides for that.
If you can get CLF or you start doing multi-target fights I can lay out those for you then.
The biggest component is most surely a skill/rotation issue, but I can’t dig into that without seeing a recent log.
Aedan… it was actually you in another post that made me want to switch my essences around & where I feel like I messed up lol…
I did however switch a few things around… went for Anger Management & got at least 1 more Cold Steel Hot Blood… and as for essences… I am going to try to farm up my rank 3 Blood of the enemy this week… I also switched to rank 3 iris and rank 2 breath of the dying… hopefully hopefully I can get rank 3 soon enough
With ST and BoTE you really want to run SB. AM is generally only run with lucid or iris major. Recklessness & BotE sync up perfectly with their 90sec cooldowns and SB fits in with its 30s CD. RA works great with them in big multi-target fights and M+, if you know what you’re doing.
