Been in here for hours. No end in sight. Alliance classically hopeless. Horde keep wiping at alliance base even with elemental and npc’s. It never ends. Even got my mount. But I’m trapped! Send food and water. No end in sight. My eyes grow dim…SAVE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…

All I know is I’ve been trapped in this one AV for like 6 hours now. It’s just a stalemate. Either that or the horde is trolling.
I remember back in the original AV it could take days to win a match. There were times when I would region a match that I had been in the night before. It was a common for a push to get bogged down and you would need the special NPCs and their abilities to finally push thru an area.
I actually miss it, now a days it is a couple minute speed run.
That’s almost impressive. I’ve only lost 1 match so far (well technically I dont know if we lost since it was taking to long and I had to go to work but we definitely weren’t winning). Every other one we won relatively quickly with Lokholar the Icelord leading us to glorious victory and he drank in the alliance’s suffering and their essence congealed with his.

Then let the Horde pass. Or go watch TV and let the Horde farm your corpse for armor scraps and blood.
Do you have to win to get the mount?
If I recall correctly horde sucked in my battle group.
If they truly wanted the Classic experience, they should have throttled everyone’s ping down to dialup speeds

I think the tw badges part actually makes it more likely to be stalled out. Everyone wants to go back to base to turn in for badges before it ends since the armor scraps despawn.
Also wining doesnt seem to count toward the progress
You have to collect 200 timewalking badges by any means necessary, not just winning.
Nope. Winning does nothing. You have to farm the quests for TW badges. I’ve already got my mount. Just staying for the obscene amount of honor i’ll get…IF I CAN EVER GET OUT OF THIS HELL HOLE!

The Alliance has massive biases in the layout of AV, but they are just bad.
Make glory runs and sneak off and grab a graveyard in the middle of the field, that one that’s really far off the beaten path, eventually the horde will push up more and you can start spawning alliance way away from their own base which makes it easier for the horde to push forward :P.
what did you do to finish mount so fast?
Just turned in the rams, capped some gy’s and flags. Got me there in relatively short time. Don’t know why everyone turtles at the mines. That stuff takes way too long.
Prior to yesterday I hadn’t touched a battle ground in almost 2 years … I saw no need as it was just an exercise in frustration for me. Five minutes in I remembered why I stopped PvPing when they started whining about everyone being a failure despite ZERO communication. “Hey we’re going X don’t stop” or " X amount per tower and guard them!".
No, winning has absolutely NOTHING to do with getting the mount. Just do the quests and get out. Pushing for a win is a waste of time.
