So, I played through to Undermine. Got to the hotel. Picked up a couple quests. I don’t know. Maybe I’m having a moment. I was not feeling it at all. Zero. I logged out.
It is unfortunately very annoying that Reznik doesnt have a voice actor.

As time goes by, my contempt for the ‘Big Three’ only grows, but in different directions.
Sony’s completely incompetent and too impressed with their previous successes to see how close they are to the cliff-edge of inevitable collapse because there’s only so far momentum, size and nostalgia can carry you when you’re screwing up this badly and this often. The multiple security breaches and their refusal to actually come out and say just how badly their subscribers have been compromised also isn’t winning them any brownie points.
Microsoft/X-Box is just a greedy cash-grab in a trench-coat, being piloted by the most out-of-touch stuffed suits who would see every last employee burned alive on the altar to the almighty Shareholder. The fact they just keep reskinning older games with a minor batch of updates, mostly graphical, and call it a ‘new game’ and ‘annual releases’ also makes me want to start pitching their board of directors out of a glass window in a comically tall building.
And Nintendo had burned me one time too many with their cynical hatred for their own fandom. Somebody makes a homage, fine … up until it starts to gain traction or it could make money, at which point they swoop in and deploy the nukes when a simple “Please stop.” would make most people do just that. The Palworld stuff is just the latest cynical act from Nintendo, and has more to do with the fact Palworld is doing what Pokemon Fans have been screaming for for decades, and is making money hand over fist.

The Palworld nonsense just makes me furious because there’s literally nothing that ought to be infringement, but Palworld had to completely remove the sphere animations because for some reason throwing a ball is somehow Nintendo’s intellectual property.
I’ve been a fan of Pokemon since the start of the damn franchise, and Palworld was everything a next Generation Pokemon title with an open world ought to have been. Sword/Shield and Ruby/Violet weren’t.
And yeah, Sony and Microsoft seem to be under the impression it’s still 2007 and the Playstation 2 and Xbox 360 are still on the market. (Though that’s understandable since Rockstar released GTA V on the 360 and Bethesda’s been chasing the high of 2011)

I got to Undermine, picked up the car, and proceeded to crash into every building like a drunk driver. The controls don’t feel good to me so I think I will stick to a regular mount for now.
I am enjoying the patch so far. The zone is nice, car is fun, music is great and the story hasn’t made me want to impale my brain with a q-tip.
I started the zone – don’t have car yet. I love Goblins but maybe too much going on outside WoW because it’s like, too much to deal with already.
Is the car and intro quest unlocked acct-wide or do we have to do the intro on alts?
I have a feeling most people will hate the car and just use their ground mount. If they can’t handle dynamic flight there’s no chance they will use DRIVE.
Car unlocks pretty shortly after you arrive in Undermine. It is account wide and you can go directly to UM once it is unlocked.
After completing the part in the ringing deeps, I did not see a skip for that at all on an alt.

Normal mounts for me I guess. Too bad, I really wanted that car.

I was playing with my wife and just riding in the back seat while she crashed us into buildings. It was pretty funny, but I knew it was going to be love or hate just like dynamic flight.

I had read all the articles so I’m not surprised, but I was trying to keep an open mind and hoping for the best.
Maybe the more parts you get for the car, the easier it is to drive but the problem is if you can’t use it long enough to get those parts, it’s just pointless.
I hope at some point they let us have the car. I’ve wanted once since it was introduced. I can’t believe we finally got it, and it’s locked behind this nonsense.
ETA: I hope people enjoy it. Blizz seems happy about it. My only real complaint is that being ‘stuck’ on a normal mount, I can’t go fast so there’s no way I’m going to get to rares in time.

I know there is a “slower” engine you can mod into the car, but I don’t know if it would make it better for you.

You can change the engine out of the gate to the “controlled cruiser,” which lets you drift and boost, but slows you down a whole lot and makes it drive more like a regular mount.
