It doesn’t take that long. If you queue random you get bonus honor. Non epics and brawls generally give an enlistment bonus that increases honor by 50%.
We also have an alliance bg communty mostly full of us nerds in the bg forums. Nice people, and there is almost always someone to run BGs with. Losses are more fun when you have fun people to joke around with.
