Sorry for the trouble, but could you take another look at this macro for me? I copied it exactly from your post to me, but still can’t get it to work. I know it’s been a while since you helped me with this, but today was the first opportunity I have had to use it.
Thanks
/run SendChatMessage(“Thank you very much, “…(UnitSex(“target”)==3 and"my lady"or"Sir”)…” Happy hunting!",“whisper”,nil,GetUnitName(“target”,1))
Lua string concatenation is 2 dots … and not 3 dots …
You have a lot of stuff that is the result of Mircrosoft autoformatteding
instead of real " " you have fancy “ ”
instead of 3 dots … you have the special etcetera character
they aren’t the same characters
If i fix it by replacing the auto-formatted garbage with what they should be, it works
/run SendChatMessage("Thank you very much, "..(UnitSex("target")==3 and "my lady" or "Sir").." Happy hunting!","whisper",nil,GetUnitName("target",1))
