Getting depressed in part because I haven’t gone outside, then going outside and finding that I subsequently can’t breathe.
But I got my paladin to 120! Whoo.

I watched two Orcs fighting in Orgimmar, then I engaged in a philosophical conversation with a Dryad in Stormwind; on the same character. This has been one of the most productive rp days in months, which feels kinda sad to type.
Addendum: I am now embarking on a quest to see how many gummy bears I can eat before I get disgusted with myself.
Outside is for the nerds. Stay indoors and be with us. We are your friends here.
Seriously though, I hope you’re feeling better
I used up all my energy for the day trudging to the grocery store this morning. I really wanted to buy ice cream but did not.
Now I’m simultaneously proud of and angry at myself.
I feel roughly the same way every week when I order pizza from my local chain but don’t get cookies or a 2 liter of Coke to go with it.
Our office A/C is mostly fixed. But now I’m arguing with a salesperson from another company because she didn’t like a service we did. We gave her a ton of free stuff for being a repeat customer - to the toon of about $115.00 and she’s arguing with me over $10. I’ll happily refund her $10 charge if she pays the additional fees we didn’t charge.
I have to go to a meeting for something that’s not really my problem, because -once again-… we’re having trouble keeping people, because hateful angry old ladies on staff and because housekeepers aren’t doing their jobs right and their manager doesn’t care enough to try and keep up with their mistakes.
That’s what I’m getting up to today, on my day off, when I work the night shift
Harrumph
My town has this big thing for the fourth.
I have my actual day job, which is interesting because I’m a brewer/everything else for a health food store. This time of year I don’t have to do much of the everything else besides occasionally suggest things for people to do when my fellow employees seem to be struck by the scourge of idleness… BUT our commercial kombucha didn’t come in so I went from casually making enough for a week to suddenly all my pots are going full bore and going bonkers on water kefir too. Which is an interesting “hurry up and wait” thing because at the end of the day, it still takes 3-5 days for kombucha to ferment and another 2 to infuse.
… And then I’m still volunteer fire department/ambulance service and we are noticing the increase in population with the tourists and fishermen and summer crowds.
Im doing the run to hutton orbital in elite dangerous. Just started tho so its gonna take a like an hour and a half.
You know, I bought this thinking it was like, normal tea once.
I took one sip and poured it out. ![]()
Expectation is one hell of a thing.
I love veggie burgers. I also love hamburgers. The worst mouthparty I ever had was when I chomped into a veggie burger, EXPECTING it to be a hamburger.
I’ve had a similar party expecting Coke and getting root beer or Dr. Pepper.
-expects coke
-gets bacon grease tasting beverage instead
I’m not sure why but something about the holidays makes me want to eat like I have a tapeworm.
Cuz, Yonara,
It’s the most~
Wonderful time~
Of the yeaar~
I recently got introduced to macaroons and they’re going to ruin me, both my health and financially. Why are they so good but also so expensive

Same reason any other desert is tasty but also expensive.
What about black deserts that happen to be online?
Jkjk, macaroons aren’t my thing tho. I’m deathly allergic to coconut lol.
Gimme them Ferrero Rocher tho.
I’ve always found it funny that the kinds of food that are typically bad for you taste great but the food that’s good for you typically tastes bad, or at the very least not nearly as good as what’s bad.
Humans are wired to crave sugar, salt, and fat, because in the circumstances under which we evolved those were all scarce and valuable nutrients.
Now we’ve altered our food supply in response to those cravings, so we tend to get way too much of those things, to the point they make us sick.
The things we like to eat are only bad for us if eaten in excess, which we do because the plentiful supply hasn’t existed long enough for our species to evolve an adaptation to that.
