Heart of the jade serpent

No matter stack count I’m not seeing any reduction in CD time.

Heart of the Jade Serpent doesn’t have stacks, its just a buff. It also doesn’t reduce the cooldown of abilities, it speeds up how quickly they come off CD. So if you have a 30% reduction from a buff you get 1.3s of time off the cooldown every 1s of real world time.

It was changed this way a few years ago, its not as intuitive, but it solves a lot of annoying niche things that were problematic.

No the stacks are from Sheilun’s Gift and control the amount of time the buff is up.

A few patches ago last time i played my monk, when you cast Sheilun’s Gift you could see the cd timer change while the buff was up.

And also you’re incorrect in that if you have less than 75% remaining time on cd for coco if you cast a full 10 stack Sheilun’s Gift it would be available to use immediately while you had the buff up and go back on cd when the buff falls.

Ok, but the thread is titled “Heart of the Jade Serpent”, so you can’t blame me for not knowing it was really about Sheilun’s Gift.

The buff comes from it.

Hear of the Jade Sperpent is triggered by it. My title is correct whats incorrect is you dont even know how it works.

You caused some confusion by not specifying you were talking about mistweaver, maybe chill on the aggression. Windwalker has heart of the jade serpent too and it works like he described.

As far as the mistweaver version and your original question go, it works fine when I use it.

Uh, no, that’s not true. While heart is active, the spells listed in the tooltip cool down faster. Depending on your UI, this is either displayed by the counter ticking down faster or temporally displaying a lower value. Once a spell comes off cooldown, whether during heart or not, it cannot go back on cooldown unless you cast it.

The sheilun stacks only affect the duration of the heart buff, not the strength of the effect.

Saying youre wrong is not aggression, you’re saying that to change the subject to a victim game because you answered a quest wrongly which you’ve stated because of “mistweaver”.

The tooltip does not say “cooldown rate” it says “decrease the cooldown time” and two patches the action bar timers reflected that wording. And you best believe I know thats what it did two patches ago because it was op in pvp which is the only thing i do on my mw.

If the cooldown rate is increased, the overall cooldown time decreases. The tooltip isn’t really wrong, just poorly phrased. There are plenty of examples of tooltips that don’t describe spell behavior perfectly.

I know dude, that’s what I explained earlier about how it’s displayed differently depending on your UI. It’s possible that you changed UIs (or UI settings) from one that displays net cd time to one that displays it as faster tick rate, which isn’t as obvious.

But hey, if you’re so confident about your knowledge, why do I even bother.
