Did they blanket nerf all heals or something? I am so confused as to why I can barely affect anyone’s HP on any healing class across the board. Was this intentional? I feel like this is the explanation that its impossible to find any healers right now…
Yes. They had a plan. I’m not sure if this is what they thought they’d be seeing at this point.

Healing used to be great during Burning Crusade, I could keep everyone alive in heroic 5 mans and my abilities felt like they made an impact.
Now dungeons are Mythic +, everyone MUST be communicating on discord & stay coordinated. Many insta-kill mechanics and my spells have very little impact despite 95% uptime. It’s so unforgiving I stopped healing outright. along comes another player that doubles my heals per second by hitting the exact same abilities? I don’t get it.
Even on SoD our guild uploads logs to compare with other parsing players & see if we measure up. Game never used to be like that. Use to be for dial-up internet users where staying connected was a struggle, now it’s for fibre-optic super fast connectivity near-instant reaction times or lose match.
Yeah it’s garbage and should be fixed
They must have put the Jailer in charge of healer balancing with that plan.
My monk healer’s primary heal heals for 452,879. My healer has 3,749,000 hit points. I have to cast it on myself 12 times, give or take a random HoT that comes with it, to get myself to full. That’s myself. On a tank of similar level and ilevel, my best heal is trivial.
I’ve enjoyed playing heals in the past, usually main heals, but in this garbage? Not a chance, especially since only shaman qualify for M+.
Level scaling might have something to do with it. I recall being near 80 and healing 70-73 for close to nothing. Like, I’d dump Serenity charges and not see their health move.
At 80… Sometimes it feels better, sometimes it doesn’t. Most of my issue is with some attacks hitting just as hard as I’d expect during Dragonflight when topping players was much faster, so it feels like an overall increase in difficulty instead of just a change to the healing flow.
Which I think would be fine, because healing wasn’t really hard. But, from what I understand, a general difficulty increase wasn’t what they were trying to do.
So yeah, mistakes made maybe.
Yeah its definitely weaker, I’ve tried just about all the talents back and forth in the holy priest tree and one of two scenarios I find ~work~ well are:

Restitution suicide priest. Especially if no druid innervate friend. Pace fights and spam heals, then use guardian spirit to deal with rough areas by killing yourself purposefully. Ressurect then with restitution and keep going.

Spam crit/haste - crit will blow up heals fast especially with buffs, I think I can get mine to 40% or so and thats plenty to pump some crazy heals especially with priest 4 piece, you can crit on your doubled heal as well. Haste is great too but it helps if you have a druid friend to innervate.

My Prayer of Healing during TW Wrath had actual value compared to current content.
So yeah something is definitely not right.
its the same with tanking. they made this expasnion really hard for that. so im just treating it like a pvp expasnion so i can relax with the game.
It’s the scaling in dungeons. Some people you just won’t be able to heal, I think it’s if they’re higher level than you.
When I was leveling my MW Monk in the 71-80 bracket it was really difficulty to top off an 80 if you got paired with one being in the early 70s, meanwhile someone near my range I could easily top off.

holy shock used to move bars , now is used to gain holy power , fun thing is u need like 5-6 spenders to heal a target fully , Holy paladins used to be a crit spec , insane holy lights that healed to full
now is about haste spam builders > spenders for nothingburger heals
all healers are “crap” ,shaman is top because it has 2 stuns , purge, aoe poison dispel (nerfed) , curse/magic dispel , and amazing aoe heals , the issue for shamans is mana , outside that totemic is amazing , loooong healing rain that u can move , after that its hard to go back to casting healing rain over and over…

I play resto Druid and resto Shaman. No problems here. I have no problems on my holy paladin but I don’t like the play style. Gonna work on my priest next. Hope it goes just as well.
