Just play healer. If more people play healer they won’t need to be overturned to incentivise participation. Be part of the solution.

Healers can often have more impact in shuffle than anyone else. As dampening ramps up your cc/damage globals/correctly timed cooldown rotation became way more impactful. This is why at the end of last season the best healers were around the same rating as the best dps.
A healers impact in blitz isn’t going to be from pure mechanical skill, rather the skill of correctly placing themselves on the correct spot on the map. Often this will lock you into a teamfight in which nobody dies no matter what you do until somebody is oom. Bad healer players might enjoy this since the burden of having to play well mechanically is lifted. healers that want to be impactful and have skill expression will eventually grow tired of blitz.
Blitz on its own is just a really cringe gamemode based on how it is designed fundamentally. ESPECIALLY the base maps. Your agency on the game being 1/16 is going to be significantly lower than being 1/6 unless you play rogue. Unless major changes are put through I could see this gamemode being dead after this season.
It doesn’t. DPs players are just bad and don’t know how to correctly use their crowd control or do optimal damage.

One Dps isn’t supposed to be able to kill a healer.
If a healer cannot outheal the damage of a single damage dealer then we are obsolete.

I remember those! The good old days.
And the Hunter Slow, MS, Silence Shot(pvp talent). I wanna hug the person that dreamed that up. I dont envy healers and the role/need they fill. I know it takes skill and sometimes feels less rewarding than it should.
I have a hard time seeing past the MM hunter problem to see the healer tuning issue. (That will probably fix itself with conquest gear)
Isn’t the logic, “i heal you and keep you/us alive, in return you keep me safe/them off of me”?
They usually dont send in cloth to the front lines for a good reason.
Medics usually aren’t supposed to be tanky, they are supposed to hang back and…save lives

When I play a healer, I love it when the other team focuses me, because then I can just turtle up and heal myself.
You know what I hate? When I get CC’d and one of my dps gets blown up in seconds.

Yes, because a coordinated team can easily kill a healer if they coordinate interrupts.
Your job is to keep me safe in the back lines. My job is to keep you alive and healthy. But if I can’t out heal incoming damage then I am not effective as a healer. Your job is to coordinate and call out targets so that your damage becomes too overwhelming for a healer, while also combining cc’s on the healer.
You don’t kill Healers with damage alone, you have to coordinate CC and kicks. When enemy teams do this, I die.
Death Knights are also deadly to healers because it separates me from the protection of my team.
I have had groups of 4-5 people that can’t kill me because they don’t use CC or interrupts. But I’ve had 1-2 people kill me before because they were REALLY good at coordinating their CC/kicks. Granted Resto druids are harder to interrupt because 99% of our spells are instant cast, and we are the tankiest healers, but it can still be done.
