Im a PvE player and wanted to get the elite set for transmog so i decided to do blitz BG to 1800. I got almost full conquest gear and 600k hp unbuffed on my destro warlock. Never in my 13k hours /played have i ever seen a bigger joke than current healer balance in pvp lmfao, healers are LITERALLY unkillable. You can interrupt their cast, cc them for 5 seconds yet their health still goes from 20% to 100% in a millisecond. 3 fully geared dps players dump their CDs into a single healer in a bg yet their health doesnt move. How this is allowed to be this way is absolutely diabolical. I now understand why this entire game mode is seen as a joke by the majority playerbase.
Inb4 “just cc the healer and kill the dps”…
If healers being unkillable gods and the only way to win is to cc them is good design to you then i dont even know what to say
Basically for the longest time in dragonflight and war within and even before that the main talking point of nearly everyone was “we just need more healers at any and all costs and that will fix ALL of pvps problems for sure”.
Really all it was was desperation about que times and they didn’t really care if it was “balanced” or in the case of mw at the start of this expac even playable most of the time all they cared about was just lowering que times at all costs.
And so blizzard basically giga buffed healers to get more of them to play to get everyone to stop whining and so now thats how you get healers being immortal in bgs and in world pvp and in every other form of pvp without some kind of dampening effect.
Is there a thread that asks why tanks in BG’s are hard to kill or DPS make make my healer die faster because id like to speak to a manager? I only play heals in order to kick back and drink old fashiond’s while enjoying my promised invulnerability.
In reality it’s partially true for certain classes. But I’ll also say this, and people hate hearing it, but it’s just being honest. I was in a DWG last night, and a feral Druid would not, under any circumstance, get off the enemy Priest so I could cap+hex him so that ‘maybe’ something would die.
The guy loaded into a BG, and literally, every node I went to, tunneled this healer solo for however many minutes straight. I don’t think players like that deserve to have the game adjusted for them, he could have rake + clone spammed and maybe won a node, but he instead chose to treat PVP like a raid boss.
There can definitely be some balance to be had, I think Rsham is in a healthy spot for danger–I can survive pretty crazy random BG dogpilings, BUT after I’m out of CDs/roots, etc. if several DPS with a silence sit on me I’ll die eventually with no team support. But the ‘I ran at a healer by myself for a full game and they didn’t die’ crowd? Those people need to get better fundamentals or go do M+.
Idk, a feral on a priest sounds pretty good. Even if he is not killing him, he is slowing him down from node to node. I’d trade a dps for a healer any day.
I get what you are saying though. It is annoying when half the team is focusing one healer, half the other and you can get no good cc’s in. Really really evident in randoms
If no one but a lone DPS wants to sit me and make me CC proof for an entire game, I’d honestly consider that a buff more than a handicap. Annoying? Absolutely, but doesn’t stop me from doing my job. Lol
I feel like the lone DPS that just W at healers and never swap or set up CC are also a free source of precog all game (if you’re lucky enough that they even have kick bound).
So generally people who dont understand how CC works will do things like full DR all CC on healers and pop every offensive into their very obvious defensive.
I had a feral druid on me once and this WW kept paralysising me during a cast instead of kicking which meant all the feral bleeds that destroy me are gone. They would both pop every offensive CD into my very obvious single minor defensive and I would leg sweep every time they would both pop offensives off my major defensive. They did this for about 20 mins before whispering me that I was “unkillable” and it wasnt fair.
If you dont have the basics for going in offensively and the basics for playing defensively(popping every defensive at once) you arnt gonna kill anyone because every healer can feel when the person hitting them is weak or has poor understanding of the game and can easily counter. Gear has nothing to do with skill and anyone with a greater grasp of the game understands how to out live poor DPS.
